For skills like Dual Shot, Cyclone Axe or any Assassin dual attack, only the first hit will be unblockable and give the additional damage.
When used with Barrage or Volley, the damage bonus and unblockable effect only applies to the first arrow to hit an enemy (not necessarily the intended target).
This can be useful for maintaining Echoes on yourself.
If used while your projectile is in midair, that projectile still receives the effect.
