Notes

  • Although this skill seems to be intended for spiking builds, wary opponents can anticipate the spike by looking for the tell-tale shout beforehand.
  • Combined with Critical Chop you can get a great percent chance to interrupt someone.
  • Several copies of this skill on a teambuild can cause skills like Energizing Finale, Finale of Restoration and other skills that activate when a chant or shout ends to trigger rapidly.
  • This adrenal shout allows attack-focused paragons to both buff their combat abilities and to renew the duration of refrains without using a chant. Activating a chant takes one or two seconds, which could be better utilized chasing kiting opponents or dealing weapon damage. See Aggressive Refrain and Bladeturn Refrain for examples.
  • Since the skill's effects are triggered by attacks, not attack skills, this skill can work wonders in the presence of a Minion Master.
  • Incidentally, this skill is great for energy management in combat for primary-class Paragons. The Leadership attribute effect gives the player 1 energy for each ally affected (up to half the player's Leadership rating) for a cost of only 4 Adrenaline.

Trivia

  • This skill is probably named after the shout "Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the Eyes!!" uttered by Minsc, a character in the famous game Baldur's Gate who would call upon his pet miniature giant space hamster, Boo, with this battle cry before charging into battle.
  • Another possible reference to this quote seems to be from Galaxy Quest when Commander Taggert is fighting the rock monster and is told by a crewman to "Go for the eyes!"
  • The above quotes originated from the cult classic Clash of the Titans in the scene when Perseus is speaking with the Stygian Witches he tells his God given gift of a mechanical owl named Bubo to steal the magic all seeing eye from them by saying "Bubo, Go for the eye!"
