Black Wolves are charmable animals native to the northern regions of Tyria.

• Charr Homelands
  • Grothmar Wardowns
  • Sacnoth Valley
• Far Shiverpeaks
  • Drakkar Lake (random spawn of a Black or White Wolf at the Shrine of the Wolf Spirit)
  • Varajar Fells (southwest corner)

Notes

• The easiest place to charm a Black Wolf is in Grothmar Wardowns outside Longeye's Ledge. One will spawn on the hillside just west of the northern bridge, and the enemies on the way can be easily avoided.
• Other species of wolf can be found throughout Tyria:
  • Wolves in Pre-Searing Ascalon.
  • Snow Wolves in the Southern Shiverpeaks.
  • White Wolves in the Far Shiverpeaks.
• Black Wolves deal slashing damage.

Anomaly! Black Wolves in the Charr Homelands cannot be attacked and will not turn hostile while being charmed, and thus cannot be death-leveled there.
