Notes

  • Bladed Aatxes have approximately 1150 health and have a natural permanent 3 pip health regeneration.
  • The best way to fight them is to impair their damage dealing capacity by blinding, weakening, or crippling them and attacking from a distance.
  • Protection Prayers like Protective Spirit are also very effective.
  • Competent tanking is essential to prevent them from reaching the squishy players.
  • Their true danger comes not from their damage, but from their ability to catch inexperienced parties off-guard. From their location, they almost act as "buffers" to prevent groups without patience and planning from remaining in the Underworld longer than a few moments.
  • Many Underworld trapping groups find Aatxes to be the easiest monster in the Underworld to trap, as they are melee range only and will follow a pull long distances.

Trivia

  • The name comes from Basque Mythology. An Aatxe is a spirit in the form of a bull that haunts caves.
