A Two-Handed ranged weapon that causes Piercing damage, there are a variety of bows in Guild Wars. The Ranger's Marksmanship attribute improves and is sometimes a requirement for this weapon type. Skills from this attribute can only be performed when equiping a bow.
Maximum damage for bows is 15-28. Different bows offer different ranges, and firing rates, refer to the table below for specifics:

Edit: Axe/Sword speed is actually one swing per 1.33 seconds, hammer is one swing per 1.75 seconds.
Bows may have have their grips and/or strings upgraded to add extra bonuses to the weapon.
