Captain Langmar is the current leader of the Ebon Vanguard. She went with a large force to the Charr Homelands, leaving Gwen behind to command in her absence. During The First Vision, Gwen tells the player that Captain Langmar's return is weeks overdue. In The Missing Vanguard quest the players discover her fate. During the War in Kryta she dies trying to protect some of the villagers in the Ascalon Settlement, which is revealed at the beginning of Hearts of the North.
