Capture

To capture something in PvP is to exert control over it. Usually this involves carrying a bundle object to a specific location or holding a location for a certain length of time. Different forms of PvP have different things that must be captured.

Forms of capture in Guild Wars include:

• Capturing the altar: Taking control of the altar in a PvP king of the hill match by bringing the Ghostly Hero to it.
• Capturing the relic: Bringing the enemy team's relic to your team's Ghostly Hero in a PvP Capture the Relic match.
• Capturing the flag: Bringing your team's flag to the Flag Stand in a Guild versus Guild battle.
• Capturing control points: Filling the capture bar of a control point in Alliance Battles by having more party members in the vicinity over time.
