Should This Sub-Category Exist?[]

Come again? What is this category? --Karlos 08:39, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Dwarven stone summit units and bosses? You know, the stone summit forces consist more than just dwarves. Well that establish what it is. If you want to debate whether or not this is necessary, my only defense is that category:dwarves is too crowded for my liking, so I like to partition it based on faction, yet category:stonesummit cannot be a subcategory of dwarves due to ice golems and dredges being part of the stone summit forces too. -PanSola 08:56, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
I don't think you should go about redefining the Bestiary categories on the fly though. The same problem exists for Mursaat. We have solved this by stating the creature's "species" in the article differently than the category at the bottom. For example, Siege Ice Golem is a Golem but it's category is Stone Summit, because that is it's faction/militia group. If you wish to propose a different approach to this, please state it first. I personally reject the concept of separating Stone Summit Dwarves from Stone Summit others. --Karlos 09:07, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Well stone summit dwarves is still a sub-cat of stone summit, so they aren't separated, just "specialized"... Siege Ice Golem has cagetories both Golem and Stone Summit, since neither is a subset of the other. -PanSola 09:17, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

To summarize: This category is a sub-category of Category:Dwarves AND a sub-category of Category:Stone Summit. Its main function is to sub-partition the Dwarves category, since the Stone Summit category cannot be used (containing more than dwarves). Join the discussion! PanSola 09:17, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Technically this category could exist, but you have to dig really deep to find out why there are two categories Category:Stone Summit and Category:Stone Summit Dwarves. In the Game the Stone Summit are Dwarves, aren't they? Can someone tell me a Stone Summit that isn't a Dwarve? And I don't think e.g. Ice Golems should be considered Stone Summit. --Si Tacuisses 09:36, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
See Talk:Stone Summit#Political Faction or Sub-Species?. -PanSola 09:57, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
To keep this on one page for Si Tacuisses, Ice Golems and Siege Ice Golems are Stone Summit also based on their drops (Stone Summit Badge). I would disagree that the Dredge are Stone Summit, as the drop their own stuff (Dredge Manifestoes) and not Stone Summit Badges or Enslavement Stones. --Rainith 12:03, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Can't we just classify MOBs like we classified skills? I mean, they are classed by campaign: Category:Skills (Core), Category:Prophecies skills and Category:Factions skills. And they are also classified by professions: Category:Elementalist skills, Category:Mesmer skills and so on... Let's just class them by races and by associations/groups/whatsoever. --Arkhyn, 11:16, 29 June 2006
