- This skill doesn't benefit from higher Beast Mastery, making this skill essentially "unlinked". However, higher ranks in Beast Mastery will benefit the animal once it has been charmed, much like the inherent damage bonus of various weapon mastery attributes.
- PvP-only characters who equip Charm Animal will always get an Elder Wolf as their pet when entering combat.
- The only animals you can charm which are automatically hostile are the Wolf and the Black Bear in pre-searing, the Aggressive Lions/Lionesses in Jahai Bluffs and the Elder Crocodile in Verdant Cascades.
- This skill can be replaced with a new skill, via learning a new skill or gaining a mission's skill, without losing control of the pet. In explorable areas, the pet will no longer appear with you once you change zones.
