Crown of Thorns are Sprouts (living plants), and like most sprouts they are monks. These creatures pop up from the ground, usually accompanied by a group of 2-3 Devourers.
The Crown of Thorns is not very strong as an attacker, but the fact that they heal themselves and other foes in the area can make them more than an annoyance.
Like all plants, these creatures have reduced armor -40 against fire damage and slashing damage.
