Elite armor

The Elite Armor is a class of prestige armor art. There is an Elite armor art version for almost every armor art type; the only armor art types that don't have an Elite version are the "beginner" types of Ascalon, Krytan, Tyrian, Shing Jea, and Seitung; or other prestige armor art like Obsidian. As with all prestige armor arts, it's only available as level 20 armor.

The look of the Elite art is usually very similar to the standard art of the same type, but with much finer detail or more dazzling colors. Because of the better looks, this armor is highly desired as a status symbol by many players. There are, however, a few cases where the Elite art does not look like the standard art at all.

Also keep in mind that Elite armor has max stats, and is no different than any other maxed armor. The only reason for buying Elite armor is for looks and reputation.

Where to get it

Prophecies Campaign

• Elite armor for the core armor types of core professions are crafted by the following
  • Hagen at The Granite Citadel.
  • Karl at Marhan's Grotto.

Faction Campaign

Factions Elite armor is available for all core and Factions professions unless otherwise specified.

• Elite Luxon armor may be found at Leviathan Pits crafted by Mikolas.
• Elite Kurzick armor may be found at Vasburg Armory crafted by Giygas.
• Elite Canthan armor may be found in the Divine Path crafted by Koumei.
• Elite Exotic armor may be found in the Divine Path crafted by Wei Qi (Assassin and Ritualist only).
• Elite Imperial armor may be found in the Divine Path crafted by Maiya (Assassin and Ritualist only).

Nightfall Campaign

• Elite Sunspear armor can be crafted at the Command Post by Ahamid after completing Building the Base: Prisoners of War. (all core and Nightfall professions)
• Vabbian armor can be crafted at the The Kodash Bazaar by Mateneh (also available for Assassins and Ritualists). (all professions)
• Ancient armor can be crafted at the Bone Palace by Palmod (all professions).
• Primeval armor can be crafted at the Throne of Secrets by Keeper of Armor after completing the final mission in the Nightfall campaign. (all core and Nightfall professions)
• Alternate hero armor is available from the following hero armor crafters: Bahldasareh in Dajkah Inlet, Johe in Remains of Sahlahja, Mureh in The Shadow Nexus and Armorsmith of Whispers in Gate of Anguish.

Eye of the North Campaign

• Asuran Armor can be crafted in Rata Sum by Kulb. (all professions)
• Monument Armor can be crafted in Eye of the North by Brett. (all professions)
• Norn Armor can be crafted in Gunnar's Hold by Radi. (all professions)

Other types of prestige armor

Core

• Obsidian armor can be crafted in the Fissure of Woe by the Eternal Forgemaster. (all professions)

Notes

• In the older game update notes, elite armor was referred to as "ascended armor"
