*What makes this skill most useful is that it counts itself as a 'recharging skill' when calculating its bonus damage. So even if you use it while no other [[Beast Mastery]] skills are recharging, you will still get the bonus damage x1. This means that, ideally, you only need three other Beast Mastery skills to be recharging in order to get the max +80 damage bonus if your Beast Mastery is at least at level 13.

*Another interesting use is in conjunction with Tiger's Fury. Tiger's Fury disables all non-attack skills for 5 seconds, including Charm Animal and Comfort Animal. So, the full +80 dmg is achieved with the disabling of Charm Animal and Comfort Animal, the recharge of Tiger's Fury, and Enraged Lunge itself. Finally, those skill bar hoggers are working for us. This build allows a ranger to diversify a bit, possibly into poison or more likely kindling arrows (for maximizing Tiger's Fury). Energy might be a problem, since skills that protect the pet aren't necessarily there and Comfort Animal might have to be used more often. Enraged Lunge can be used again before Tiger's Fury recharges for x2 dmg as well.

*This skill is very useful in the [[R/any Tank Master]] build. By keeping a constant stream of recharging Beast Mastery skills, the tankmaster can repeatedly deal tremendous damage.

*The amount of damage that a pet can do with this skill also makes it ideal when attempting to evolve a new pet into a dire pet.
