The prizes themselves, or the items obtained by opening them, can be traded between players. Some items can also be sold to a merchant for a set price. Based on this fact, each prize has an average "street value" in gold.
1 The street value of tokens is based on the standard trade offer of 25–35 per token (based on the experience of several years of festivals). The tokens have no value to merchants.
2 The average street value is the per prize gold you can expect to earn after opening hundreds of them. Your values will differ.
When exchanging prizes for Festival Tickets from Kao Tseng:
1 Festival Ticket = 15
1 Festival Prize = 25 Festival Tickets = 375
For maximum gold profit, sell the Festival Tickets to Sunri. The profit then is 375 for 25 tickets as opposed to the average value of 220 for the Festival Prize.
Historical note: After the Dragon Festival 2006, as part of the 20 October 2006 game update, the left-over Festival Prizes were renamed to Boardwalk Prizes . Festival and Boardwalk Prizes offered a different selection of rewards at the time, and were available during different Boardwalk events.
Historical note: In the Dragon Festival 2007 redux, these prizes were (incorrectly) spelled "Fesitval Prizes", and they were assigned to the players near whom they were dropped.
Historical note: As of the Third Birthday Celebration (April 2008), the prizes are known as Festival Prizes during all Boardwalk events.
