Clever, Mendel. --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 19:21, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Hehe. Yup, that made sure it would be noticed in Category:Guildwiki interface, even if I forgot about it. --◄mendel► 20:02, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Ahoy! Revert that edit, this don't be a screenshot! This be a masterfully improved mission icon designed by User:LordBiro and licenced under the GDFL! Mendel be beginning his campaign of Wiki vandalism now that he's gained our trust.Entrea SumataeEntrea [Talk] 02:38, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, it is primarily based on the mission icon and the Guild Wars logo, which means it's still partially Anet material. So it has to be dual-licensed. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken 03:05, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia be sayin' that it needs a dual-licence over the content, but it still don't be a screenshot. Perhaps something like

{{fair-use image|source=Derived from the [[:Image:MissionIcon.png|Mission icon]] used in the game Guild Wars|author=[[User:LordBiro]]|reasoning= }}

would be in order (although I don't be havin' a good reason at the moment)Entrea SumataeEntrea [Talk] 03:15, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
We've been marking all in-game assets (meaning all extracted textures, whether directly from gw.dat or by use of 3DRipper/TexMod) as screenshots for simplicity. Probably, we just need to modify the wording of that template so that it includes all game assets. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken 03:24, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
At least those are actually in the game. This is like marking a user-created drawing of their character as a screenshot.Entrea SumataeEntrea [Talk] 03:43, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) It doesn't really matter. If LordBiro had actually drawn the symbol himself (like the small old-school favicon that I currently can't find), then he'd have all rights to the image and could put it under GFDL. But since portion of that belong to ANet, LordBiro has created a "derivative work" to which he and ANet hold copyright together; this means LordBiro can't put the thing under GFDL without ANet's consent. The only thing that he could license is the part that he himself contributed, i.e. the brackets and the word "Wiki" and the arrangement. --◄mendel► 05:21, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
