The Flamberge has a large, traditional sword blade, and a prominent guard shaped like bat wings. This is not realistic, however, for flamberge means fire sword. A real flamberge had a wavy-edged blade (evoking fire), which caused uncomfortable vibrations through the opponent's sword.

The color of a Flamberge's grip will match the color of Dye applied, albeit the hue will be darker. The color of the blade and guard are unaffected.
