Little background. I am a long time PvE player of Guild Wars, but I am getting a burnt out fast on this portion of the game. Don't get me wrong, I love playing Guild Wars, working on titles, making gold and acquiring items to sell trade, but I want more. I have played competitively online first person shooters many times in CAL and TWL (and ranked very well at that) and understand the importance of working together as a team.

I have been looking into the PvP portion of Guild Wars for about the past week. Alliance Battles are fun and all, but seem a little chaotic at times. Random Arenas are just pure chaos with no organization. Team Arenas are good but there is no pay out for winning matches other than getting Balthazar Faction and working on the Gladiator Title. I have no real use for the Balthazar Faction because I have all of the skills and weapon upgrades unlocked from playing PvE.

Here is my predicament. I go to Hero's Ascent and say the typical ''LFG'' to try to get into a group. I never get any invites and if anyone is ever interested in letting me be in their group they ask me what my rank is. So I tell them that I am new to Hero's Ascent, no rank, am looking to get experience with them, and never hear from them again. Its like I need a rank to play Hero's Ascent, but I can not get a rank until I play. I have never had this much trouble getting into a group to play PvE missions and quests. I even went as far as to leave my Guild (in good standing, so that if I want, I may return) to try to get into a Guild that plays Hero's Ascent. I was in two different Guilds, no more than half and hour each, and got kicked from the ''for being a noob''. Thats why I joined their Guild in the first place, to gain knowledge and experience from them; so they could ''teach me the ranks''.
