Just noticed that for Template:Attuned Was Songkai there is a table with 5 progression rows in the code, but only 4 show. (Not really sure if there shouldn't be a separate table for that information in Attuned Was Songkai, instead of in the Template though.)

Floating Tabs and Navbox Display Errors (revisited)

Page: All (except special pages) while not logged in.

Problem: Under Firefox 2.0, Ubuntu Edgy, the tabs at the top of the page display incorrectly while not logged in. Additionally, the "navigation" and "support" boxes display on top of each other.

SQL error

IN addition to the above - when clicking on Elite Skills locations, got a database query error: Database error From GuildWiki Jump to: navigation, search A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:

Jade Sea collectors

When accessing this link for the Jade Sea general collectors: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/General_collectors_%28Jade_Sea%29

either directly or via the collectors page, internet explorer reports 'done' that it has loaded the page but the page is blank. This started approximately a week ago.

I have just purged my server cache in case that had something to do with it, but it remains blank.

I'm able to view the page in IE6 while logged in or not. No idea. --Fyren 04:50, 20 October 2006 (CDT)

Cant go to next page in Builds lists

Page: Category:Untested_builds and Category:Unfavored_builds

Problem: I want to look up some warrior builds in these categories, but when I press "next 200" the page just refreshes instead of going to the next 200 builds. I dont know if it is an IE problem (I use IE). Its really annoying cus I cannot acces the warrior builds 145.116.8.16 14:06, 17 October 2006 (CDT) i use fier fox and it doesent work for me either

This issue is identical to the Multi-page category not showing subsequent paged for logged-out account issue identified below. Current work around is to register an account and login, as the problem only exists for users who are not logged in. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 14:21, 17 October 2006 (CDT)

Mysterious Build Deletion

Page: N/Any Conditioning Minion Master

Problem: I made this build two days ago, and now, it seems, it's gone! There is no history of it ever being deleted, and the only hope I see of getting it back is going through ALL that work again to do so...

Comments: I checked this build and it was in the Untested Builds category before I left it. I don't think it was in the sandbox when it was wiped.

I just logged out and went to Category:Glossary; when I clicked "Next 200" the screen didn't roll forward to the next page of entries.
When I logged back in and went to that page, clicking "Next 200" did change to the next page of entries. Some sort of weird chaching problem, but only appears when not logged in for some reason. Not sure if anyone else is seeing this though, or if it's just me. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 23:28, 13 July 2006 (CDT)
I have this problem - I don't have an account, and find I can't move from page to page on the Glossary; it simply redisplays the data from the first page. I've found this happens with both Firefox 1.5.x and IE 6 on multiple machines. I'm not sure how to purge the page, so I can't test that from here but clearing my browser cache doesn't seem to make a difference. 80.5.160.25 16:56, 17 July 2006 (CDT)

False Ban Message (Spam Filter?)

Page: all

Problem: If a user not logged in makes two edits within short time he will receive a message that his IP has been banned. But that is not true. If you wait a while, then try again, you can edit just fine. This is probably caused by some kind of spam filter.

Spam-prevention is wonky

Argh, what a pain in the hinie. The spam-prevention thingy that stops edits from going through also clears the Summary, so I had a nice round of he-said-she-said with the system because I'd fill out the summary, submit, get the spam-protection challenge instead, fill that out, submit, get the "you forgot the summary"-reminder, fill out the summary again, get a new spam-protection challenge... etc, etc. ad nauseum. --Bishop (rap|con) 12:19, 6 May 2006 (CDT)

Looking into this! Thanks. Gravewit 17:07, 6 May 2006 (CDT)
Also note that the spam blocker is triggered by previews, and that it resets not only the summary but also the "This is a minor edit" checkbox. It has happened to me soooooo many times that I finished writing an article, hit preview, check it again quickly and find no errors, then hit submit and get the anti-spam message, which means that I have to re-type my summary to re-check the minor edit tickbox. Very annyoing. --Tetris L 04:47, 21 June 2006 (CDT)

Yet another Search problem

Page: The search page, Pei the Skull Blade and probably many more.

Problem: The page is not showing up in the Search window for the following search strings: "pei", "pei the blade", "pei blade" and a few more.

Comments: I'm not sure wether this is a bug, but if the page is not showing up if you type the first name of a mob, it totally defeats the purpose of having a search function...

Submitted By: ~ Nilles (chat) 09:59, 25 June 2006 (CDT)

As I see it you'll only get an Article Title Match if you've typed in the whole article's name correctly. If you search for say "Pei's Blades" which is contained in the article, it'll get a Page Text Match. Unfortunately the term "Pei the Skull Blade" isn't contained in Pei the Skull Blade, it's just the articles' title. Also notice that it's "Pei's Blades" and so searching for Pei is no good either, although searching for "Pei's" will generate a Page Text Match. --Xasxas256 10:12, 25 June 2006 (CDT)
I added the text "Pei the Skull Blade" within the article Pei the Skull Blade, still no good on the search; although there may be an indexing routine that needs to run at a scheduled time before it will work.
Oddly, searching for "skull blade" or "pei skull blade" does result in a valid search result. But searching for "pei blade" it's not on the first page of results, but is the 36th match in the Article title matches. This suggests to me that the word "Pei" is not being treated as a searchable term, but is instead ignored much like common words like "have" and "from", which are not indexed. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 11:54, 25 June 2006 (CDT)
Perhaps words of length three or less aren't indexed. --68.142.14.40 12:05, 25 June 2006 (CDT)
Maybe. But as for the wiki, I think it should index all words from page titles except for dictionary words (like "the", "on", "to", "and"). ~ Nilles (chat) 06:12, 26 June 2006 (CDT)
By default MySQL does not fulltext index words under 4 characters in length. See the mysql manual:
Some words are ignored in full-text searches:
  • Any word that is too short is ignored. The default minimum length of words that are found by full-text searches is four characters.
  • Words in the stopword list are ignored. A stopword is a word such as “the” or “some” that is so common that it is considered to have zero semantic value. There is a built-in stopword list, but it can be overwritten by a user-defined list.

Minor bugs

Quote from section above: [...] template:R not displaying on pages where it's included even though the icon shows when you view the template itself; Link on left toolbar to "Report a Bug" is missing [...] --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:19, 17 July 2006 (CDT)

More on Template R, if you include that template like this R it wont show, it also will not appear in the list of used templates when the page is edited or previewed. However if you do r it includes the template correctly and the icon will show up. --Draygo Korvan (Yap) 14:47, 18 July 2006 (CDT)
I noticed that too. Maybe deleting that template and recreating it might work. --Ab.Er.Rant @ User:Aberrant80 (msg) 05:27, 19 July 2006 (CDT)
Scope out Template talk:R, it appears to be a "feature" of the new MediaWiki if I'm reading PanSola's post correctly, so recreating it will make no difference and Skuld seems to agree. --Xasxas256 05:36, 19 July 2006 (CDT)
From my understanding of multiple threads on the issue: It appears that R is a reserved template character in v1.7.1, which would explain why it worked before the upgrade and not now. You can get around this by either using lowercase r or adding a pipe after the uppercase R , the simplest being to use lowercase r. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 14:31, 19 July 2006 (CDT)
Since this seems to be a "bug" that's here to stay, I changed the ProfessionsNavBox template so all ProfessionIcon Template calls are lowercase. This obviously fixes the ranger icon not showing up, and in my opinion adds consistency. I don't particularly like the idea of one style being used for a single profession, and another being used for every other one. By changing the norm used from here on out and patching the old pages, both consistency and functionality can be maintained. However - this would amount to no small amount of edits, and before I bother to go any further with them I figure I'll see if anybody has any objections to changes on this scale. --Kwisatz 23:48, 20 July 2006 (CDT)
Ptemplate is buggy, it become a Plat, instaed of Paragon--heach 03:58, 28 July 2006 (CDT)
Technically, that's not a bug - it's a design issue. The P template has been in use since November of last year as a symbol for platinum. Within the last week or two there has been discussion, and within the last couple of days the platinum symbol was moved to Plat instead of P. The P sysmbol will catch up, it's just taking time. Items in use for months take time to modify everyplace they're used. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 08:12, 28 July 2006 (CDT)

Just for reference, the div in question is the one containing the Specialty Fansite logo in the toolbar, which for some reason won't even show up in the W3C validator any longer. — Galil Ranger 15:10, 29 August 2006 (CDT)
Edit: Actually, that isn't so odd after all. The real oddity is that the speciality logo doesn't show up if you're not logged on. — Galil Ranger 15:13, 29 August 2006 (CDT)

Are you still receiving this error? I've been unable to reproduce it myself. Roughly when did it happen? I'm wondering if the server was experiencing other problems at the time; if so, the server seems back to normal now, so all may be okay at this point. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 17:46, 4 October 2006 (CDT)
It's working fine now. It happened around the time I posted the bug, as well as about 5 or 6 days ago when I first visited DWH. Fission Xuiptz 02:46, 5 October 2006 (CDT)

Cookie issues?

Problem: Cookie issues/Unable to edit, php error at the foot of the page

Comments: I'm unable to edit on my account, and sometimes the IP won't work. It gives the "sorry, session data lost, please log in" message in red at the top. I've tried clearing cookies, cache etc, tried a different network, no luck. Just tried to change my skin from monobook to simple and it won't save it.

Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still doesn't work, try logging out and logging back in.

If your school is using a proxy, it might be doing bad things to your cookie. If you're not using the "remember me" checkbox when logging in, try it. I fixed that already (I think). Can you get it to happen for you after clearing your browser cache? --Fyren 01:15, 16 November 2006 (CST)
Doesn't happen for me, I just saw the post in the forum. --Rainith 01:17, 16 November 2006 (CST)
If you care enough, post suggesting they clear their browser caches again or hold control as they refresh. Things were only mixed up for a few minutes (over an hour ago now), but anyone viewing a page during that timeframe might have seen a page with the same name from the other wiki. Refreshing/clearing my cache worked fine for me in IE6, FF2, and Opera 9. If they cleared/refreshed while the problem was still around it wouldn't have helped. --Fyren 01:25, 16 November 2006 (CST)

Testing, though I know people are currently using this feature. --68.142.14.28 17:36, 16 November 2006 (CST)
Works fine for me. The mail will say it's from zero at zerolives dot org since that's what Gravewit set it up to be. --Fyren 17:44, 16 November 2006 (CST)
Slightly off topic - do you have access to change that? something@gamewikis.org would seem more appropriate; maybe GuildWiki_email@gamewikis.org or GuildWiki_notify@gamewikis.org or something along those lines. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 17:47, 16 November 2006 (CST)
Depends. I can put whatever I want in the from field, but replies won't work to a gamewikis.org address till Gravewit sets up an MX record, since I can't do that (and we set up postfix or whatever). --Fyren 18:25, 16 November 2006 (CST)
Actually, as replies are only readable by Gravewit anyways, given his activity level with the wiki, I wouldn't have a major problem with it not being a real email address. If it were changed, any way to insert text saying something like "do not reply to sender, this is not a monitored email account" or something of that sort? (okay, this is starting to look like something that belongs on a talk page instead of the bug report page). --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 18:31, 16 November 2006 (CST)
It'll say it's from guildwiki@gamewikis.org now, but attempting to reply will result in the mail bouncing with a complaint about there being no MX record. An admin can edit MediaWiki:Enotif body to change the text that's mailed out. --Fyren 19:01, 16 November 2006 (CST)
I've modified the notice at MediaWiki:Enotif body. My only concern (that I honestly should have thought of first) is if emails sent to an invalid address at gamewikis.org may cause a noticeable performance issue then we should revert these changes (especially if someone out there has a compromised system and receives this notice, the address could get harvested and added to spam lists). Let me know if you feel there is a risk here. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 20:02, 16 November 2006 (CST)
No, nothing will even touch our servers right now. Someone's mail server somewhere will try to look up the MX record for our domain, find it doesn't exist after asking our host's DNS server, then bounce the reply back to the sender with an error message. I don't see your point about spam. That's like saying we should never use a valid e-mail address for anything. --Fyren 20:18, 16 November 2006 (CST)
If nothing hits the server, then the spam concern becomes irrelevant. The comment was assuming that emails would reach the server before being bounced; then the zerolives address would likely be hitting an entirely different machine's mail server - so safer to the wiki server. As it is, I see your point, and I think the current config will be less confusing overall (unless someone objects). --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 21:23, 16 November 2006 (CST)

Well that's interesting, I'm still not getting any mails, and nothing is showing on my reject report. Which is where it would show if my MX was blocking it. I was receiving e-mails fine until the new server was put in place. Did anything change on that end when the new server was setup? ErkDog 07:51, 20 November 2006 (CST)

Mail logs show a user unknown for you from the MX for the address in your preferences (I'm assuming you didn't change it recently). I just tried sending you mail from GMail to see if you get it or if it bounces. --Fyren 08:27, 20 November 2006 (CST)
I got your mail, and replied, all my other e-mail is working perfectly. :-/ ErkDog 08:38, 20 November 2006 (CST)
I hate sendmail and I'm sleepy, so I'm probably going to sleep. I might poke it a little more first, but I'll look into it again when I wake up if not. --Fyren 09:18, 20 November 2006 (CST)

I can't imagine what would be causing unknown user. What is the IP and Host of the machine sending e-mail? I will scan my logs for that to see if it's being rejected by some other method. The error logs list the sender's address though, and currently I have no rejected e-mails today from gamewikis.org. Peculiar considering that 1) I know some should have been sent and 2) I didn't get them :(. You didn't clarify if anything had changed as far as the host, or configuration of outgoing e-mails when the new server was put in place. Naturally, I have also searched my Junk and Discard folders for mail from gamewikis.org, to no avail. Thanks, ErkDog 11:33, 20 November 2006 (CST)

Because I didn't know since I didn't set up the mailers on either machine. The log is saying your MX has been saying "user unknown" but using sendmail myself shows our machine's hostname is screwed up. I'm going to set up postfix later today and try to get Gravewit to set up proper reverse DNS. --Fyren 21:26, 20 November 2006 (CST)

From what I understand about my MX, if the hostname that the machine claims to be does not resolve to it's IP it will bounce it. But the IP does not have to reverse to the claimed hostname. If you have control over it though, it is obviously best to make it correct forward and backward. Can you please tell me with which MX your MXes are communicating with? Perhaps it is a DNS issue on my end, although I have not changed anything. And it seems coincidental that the issue popped up right when the new server was put online. Tuffmail does employ quite a bit of 'reasonable' filtering to get rid of spam, so if an MX appears "broken" it will reject it. However, that reject -should- show in my reject log. Can you confirm that it is attempting to send to erkdog -)at)- fiftypounds.com and that it is sending it to MX: mxin.mxes.net? A dig fiftypounds.com MX should reveal mxin.mxes.net as the MX. Thanks ErkDog 21:49, 20 November 2006 (CST)

The host sendmail is reporting doesn't resolve (which is why I said our hostname was screwed up). That's the address and MX it's using. I don't personally have control over the DNS, I have to get Gravewit to do it since we're not handling our own DNS. I'm going to ditch sendmail and use postfix on the machine with the IP gamewikis.org resolves to. --Fyren 22:29, 20 November 2006 (CST)
See if you're getting new mails now. Dunno if you're watching this page. --Fyren 23:38, 20 November 2006 (CST)

I did not receive any over night and a few of my watched pages were updated. Thanks, ErkDog 08:05, 21 November 2006 (CST)

According to the DB, your current address isn't authenticated. If you switched addresses in your preferences to test things out, it won't send mail to it (even if you switch it back to a previously authenticated one) until you go to the link in the confirmation mail. I don't see it having tried to mail you since I switched it over to postfix. Try going to your preferences and telling it to send a confirmation e-mail. --Fyren 08:53, 21 November 2006 (CST)

I had done that several times. Finally got one. Looks like a DNS propagation issue on my end could have been a catalyst to the issue. Thanks alot for your help. ErkDog 16:53, 21 November 2006 (CST)

I may have spoke prematurely. I am still not getting e-mails despite my receipt of the confirmation e-mail. Several of my watched pages were changed overnight and no notifications were sent :-/ ErkDog 07:59, 22 November 2006 (CST)
When you change your address it resets your e-mail notification preferences (default being no e-mail notifications). Did you turn them back on? --Fyren 08:09, 22 November 2006 (CST)
  • rolls eyes* well that explains that. Guess I will let you know if I have any more problems, which I suspect I will not at this point. Thanks for your help. ErkDog 12:32, 22 November 2006 (CST)

MTA Name

X-Spam-Report: Content analysis details:
  0.1 FORGED_RCVD_HELO Received: contains a forged HELO

Received: from gamewikis.org (unknown [208.100.0.89])
by gamewikis.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 46E691BAC4C
	for <erkdog --) at (--fiftypounds.com>; Wed, 22 Nov 2006 12:23:37 -0600 (CST)
Received: by gamewikis.org (sSMTP sendmail emulation); Wed, 22 Nov 2006 13:20:07 -0600

The MTA should be reporting itself as the host that it's on not an entire domain. That would be the reason for the additional spam scoring. If you have individual MTA's they would all have the "name" of the machine they are on as opposed to "guildwikis.org".

Please advise.

Thanks, ErkDog 13:46, 22 November 2006 (CST)

If that rule triggers when the hostname doesn't resolve to the IP, then it won't matter since the machine's FQDN won't resolve anyway. --Fyren 22:13, 22 November 2006 (CST)
  • sigh* What triggers that rule is when the HELO does not match the IP. In other words, gamewikis.org does not resolve to 208.100.0.89... it is -forged- and fraudulent. The HELO or name of the MTA should be something that resolves to the actual IP that the MTA lives on. It can be vagina.gamewikis.org as long as vagina.gamewikis.org resolves to the IP of the host the MTA is on. The reverse does not have to match. But the forward does. ErkDog 22:40, 22 November 2006 (CST)
I don't think you understood what I said here and before. I don't control our DNS. There is nothing that resolves to that IP and I can't change that. Hence, "if the rules triggers when the hostname doesn't resolve to the IP, then it won't matter." --Fyren 22:50, 22 November 2006 (CST)
No I saw it, but someone has control over the gamewikis.org DNS. So the simple answer is to 1) Change the DNS such that a host resolves to that IP. 2) Change the name of the configured MTA to match that DNS A Record. ErkDog 00:38, 23 November 2006 (CST)

So, I looked at the header of the last e-mail sent to me. The MTA is still reporting itself as "gamewikis.org." Is the MTA's name not going to be changed to reflect the actual hostname of the machine? Is there a legitimate rationale for not doing this? Please advise. ErkDog 13:35, 27 November 2006 (CST)

I told Gravewit to set up proper DNS/reverse DNS and hostnames before you ever said anything about mail. I told you I can't do it. --Fyren 18:05, 27 November 2006 (CST)
I see, I must have misunderstood that you had already requested him to do that. The hostname / DNS is more important than the reverse part, and can be done easily. I don't understand why he would not have done it already. ErkDog 18:16, 27 November 2006 (CST)

This was caused by a change in the MediaWiki software many months ago to make the "R" a reserved character. You can get around it by using a lowercase r Ranger. Someone posted once that it's possible to disable the uppercase R being reserved, but with the lowercase version working, it just hasn't been high enough of a priority (yet) to look into changing it. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:53, 16 November 2006 (CST)

builds

all the builds have "build:" infront of them and its trhowing off the naming system. its getting annoying. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sacraficia (contribs) .

Hey Sacraficia, I'm not 100% sure what you are complaining about. All builds are now going to have "Build:" preceding them. With the builds section growing larger and the aim of build articles differing substantially from most other articles on the wiki, it was decided that we should keep builds in a separate namespace. Any previously produced builds will have redirects, so I'm not 100% sure of the problem.
Could you be more specific please? <LordBiro>/<Talk> 07:10, 17 November 2006 (CST)
All builds are in the build namespace unless new ones were made during the span my bot moved everything. Links haven't changed and I left the redirects from the moves. --Fyren 08:05, 17 November 2006 (CST)
I think he's referring to the build listings in categories. Previously, they were alphabetically grouped so all Assassin builds were under "A", all Dervish skills under "D", etc. They are still alphabetical, but most are now showing under the "B" group, with some here and there that have their category tags modified to still sort under various groups.
Personally, as they're all alphabetical anyway, I see no problem with leaving them under "B" as that makes them simpler to rename later (won't need to worry about the category name as well) (EDIT: rethought this, as the groupings do help on the pages that have an alpha TOC at the top of the pages, no now prefer fixing back into groupings within categories). But, we currently have a mix (see Category:Unfavored builds or Category:Untested builds as examples), and I think we should standardise one way or the other. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 13:26, 17 November 2006 (CST)
See Fyren's post in GuildWiki talk:Community Portal, it has to do with the templates that categorize the builds. --Rainith 14:13, 17 November 2006 (CST)
I did a post over there. Anything with a template (such as template:Untested-build) should be easy to fix - I did a small edit to the template, and now new null edits to those articles seem to fix their listing (may be cache related - not updating the template change automatically). --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 14:24, 17 November 2006 (CST)
I replied over there, too, but it should be updated right now. Let me know if any of them aren't. --Fyren 21:11, 17 November 2006 (CST)

Page Access Counters

The page access counters on all pages are not working. Either they are not counting or they are not refreshing for me. When I try to refresh a page to see how many readers have read it since the last time I checked, I see the same number even hours later. Previously, just refreshing the page itself would increase the counter. --Karlos 12:51, 17 November 2006 (CST)

Currently, a refresh does not update the count, but clearing my cache does update it. I never paid too much attention - so not sure if this is any different for me. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 13:19, 17 November 2006 (CST)
The counters will be pretty useless with our current setup since squid hits won't get counted. Just refreshing increments them as expected for me (since I'm logged in and not getting a cached page from squid). I guess I could disable them since they're going to be wrong. --Fyren 21:09, 17 November 2006 (CST)
I would concur that since squid is involved and that since it's rather frivolous information to begin with, that it be disabled. ErkDog 12:36, 22 November 2006 (CST)
How does Wikipedia deal with page counts? I know that they don't display page counts on each article, but when they are compiling statistics do they just go by the number of pages served by the MediaWiki software and ignore the fact that a cached page might be served 1000 times by Squid? Or does Squid somehow update MediaWiki? I don't see how it would, but I'm curious :) <LordBiro>/<Talk> 13:20, 22 November 2006 (CST)

Slow Again?

Ok, as of an hour ago, edits are significantly slower than they were a few hours before. I am assuming as the wiki works better many users are returning to use the wiki heavily and the load is rising again. Can we monitor this? --Karlos 14:04, 17 November 2006 (CST)

Redirects

Redirects appear to not be working, with regards to making new ones. Image:Hai-head.jpg is wanted to redirect to User:Hai_Jil/Hai_Jil, in the same manner that the profession icons redirect to the correct profession page. if the code is incorrect, could someone correct the code on that page, if not, can someone investigate it?

The redirect seems to work for me. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:40, 17 November 2006 (CST)
When you make the initial edit, it won't redirect (it appends &redirect=no to the URL, and so just hitting refresh doesn't help). If you can come up with something reproducible or if other people report it, I'll look into it, but nothing appears wrong right now. --Fyren 21:07, 17 November 2006 (CST)

I just uploaded a png file for testing then, worked fine. --Xasxas256 23:51, 21 November 2006 (CST)
I just tested my theory. I got the same message when I tried to upload . You need to specify the extension of the file in the file name that you are uploading it to. --Rainith 23:54, 21 November 2006 (CST)
Uploaded files have to match a list of allowed extensions and actually be a file of that type (checked through PHP's fileinfo). --Fyren 01:43, 22 November 2006 (CST)

Wanted Articles.

Wanted Articles: Special:Wantedpages

Problem: Item 1 should not exist here.

Comments: This appears to be a bug of sorts in that the "page" that the wiki is reporting as wanted is actually an external link?

Submitted By: ErkDog 16:38, 22 November 2006 (CST)

Happened w/the server change. From what I've seen, all articles w/wikipedia links need to have null edits done on them to fix them. --Rainith 16:51, 22 November 2006 (CST)
Looking a little closer at that one (Yay for being rushed and at work), this one may be a different issue from the one I've been running into, I'm not sure and don't have time at the moment to really look into it. --Rainith 17:07, 22 November 2006 (CST)
Are you saying that all articles which -contain- the wiki links need to be null edited? Or in other words the 38 with the stub wiki link? ErkDog 17:26, 22 November 2006 (CST)
All I know is that I've run across 3 articles that had red wikipedia links in them (that weren't red before the server change). After editing something else on the page, the wikipedia link returned to normal. Going from that I am guessing that it is the same situation here. --Rainith 17:34, 22 November 2006 (CST)

Unfortunately, what links here, doesn't show the offending pages :( I guess in time they will get scrubbed off, or is there a Stub category where these could be cleaned enmasse? ErkDog 17:38, 22 November 2006 (CST)

I'm rebuilding the links tables but it'll take a while, probably. I think I caused this when I redid the interwiki links; anything with an interwiki link that got parsed during that time was considered a broken internal link. --Fyren 21:47, 22 November 2006 (CST)

General Collectors - Kaya (Nightfall)

The link to Kaya - General Collector in Nightfall takes you to the page for Kaya - General Collector in Factions. I would like to upload a map of how to get to her, but without the proper page, I don't know how to do it.

Main page login display

When I am logged in I can see my name, talk, preferences etc on every page but the main page. On the main page it still says "Login/Create Account".

I think this is your browser incorrectly caching. Does clearing your browser cache and then returning to the main page work? --Fyren 23:26, 24 November 2006 (CST)

It's working now thanks Serialkiller 10:19, 25 November 2006 (CST)

why are the google ads showing GW gold for sale? these can be filtered.....i would suggest diabling google ads until those are removed.

If you find any examples of google ads selling gold we ask that you report the URL to User_talk:Gravewit so that they can be filtered. <LordBiro>/<Talk> 14:11, 25 November 2006 (CST)
The GameWikis blog had some place to report GW gold ads so that they could be blocked, but I don't know if Gravewit is watching it anymore. Someone could ask Gravewit and talk about it. --Gem-icon-sm (talk) 16:41, 25 November 2006 (CST)

If you'ree talking about an area of this website - post here what area you were unable to access. If you're talking about an area in the game, check the articles on this site related to that area, or check forums on other fansites. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 01:04, 27 November 2006 (CST)

Verification / Summary Loop

Page: Any Edit Page

Problem: Loop when trying to save page, caused by math problem / edit summary.

Submitted By: ErkDog 13:31, 27 November 2006 (CST)

I recall this being reported before but I cannot find the relevant report in the cluster **** of information on this page which is outdated, irrelevant, or inappropriately titled. Moving along.

I was editing a page and it required me to enter a math answer for verification. It then kicked back saying I didn't provide an edit summary. I clicked save again, it threw math problem back at me. So forth and so on, until I finally just typed an x in the edit summary.

Please advise.

Thanks, ErkDog 13:31, 27 November 2006 (CST)

Gravewit didn't actually say if he did anything the last time this came up, so I've relaxed the conditions for when it asks an arithmetic question. --Fyren 18:19, 27 November 2006 (CST)

Skills with 4 progression rows

Page: Template:Anguished Was Lingwah

Problem: There probably aren't many of those, but Template:Anguished Was Lingwah needs 4 rows for progressions. It appears that the Template:Progression-template only makes 3 progression rows. Correct? (And if this is the wrong page, please tell me on what page I can put these kind of thing questions/remarks/reports on.)

Just noticed that for Template:Attuned Was Songkai there is a table with 5 progression rows in the code, but only 4 show. (Not really sure if there shouldn't be a separate table for that information in Attuned Was Songkai, instead of in the Template though.)
