Blue check

This page is a style and formatting guideline on GuildWiki.

It has general acceptance among editors and is considered a standard to which articles should adhere. However, it is not set in stone and should be treated with common sense and the occasional exception.

This article provides information on starting, expanding, and completing articles about armor in Guild Wars.

General[]

There are several types of articles that document the different aspects of armor in the game. These include armor crafting, collectors, armor by profession, by art style and gallery. Each article type needs to follow a simmilar style so that they are easily viewed, navigated and easy for others to edit.

Articles that use boxes to discuss armor should try to use the following color: #F99

Armor Crafting quick references[]

The Crafting quick references are tables listing the costs of materials and gold for each armor and who and where to get them.

See GuildWiki:Style and formatting/Armor/Crafting quick reference for specific guidelines.

Collector armor[]

Articles that list armor that can be obtained by collectors and what items are required.

See GuildWiki:Style and formatting/Armor/Collector armor for specific guidelines.

Armor Profession index[]

An Armor profession index is a thumbnail gallery linking to all the armor art and galleries available to that profession.

See GuildWiki:Style and formatting/Armor/Profession index for specific guidelines.

Armor art[]

Articles that document a specific armor art, the overall crafting cost and additional notes. These pages always embed the male and female armor art galleries noted below.

See GuildWiki:Style and formatting/Armor/Art for specific guidelines.

Armor art gallery[]

Two armor art galleries are made for each specific armor art, one female and one male. Each displays screenshots showing overall and component views of an armor as well as showing which areas can be dyed.

See GuildWiki:Style and formatting/Armor/Art gallery for specific guidelines.
