This page is a style and formatting guideline on GuildWiki.

It has general acceptance among editors and is considered a standard to which articles should adhere. However, it is not set in stone and should be treated with common sense and the occasional exception.

Shortcut:
GW:COLORS

This article provides a guideline to standard colors to use when highlighting sections of an article based upon profession referenced.

Standard color usage[]

Each profession is identified by a unique icon for that profession. In GuildWiki, the community has selected standard colors to use within articles to represent these professions as well.

Profession Background color Border line color color template
Warrior Warrior #FF8 #EA3 Template:W-color
Ranger Ranger #CF9 #5A0 Template:R-color
Monk Monk #ACF #44B Template:Mo-color
Necromancer Necromancer #9FC #0A5 Template:N-color
Mesmer Mesmer #DAF #80A Template:Me-color
Elementalist Elementalist #FBB #B33 Template:E-color
Assassin Assassin #FCE #A08 Template:A-color
Ritualist Ritualist #BFF #0AA Template:Rt-color
Paragon Paragon #FC9 #960 Template:P-color
Dervish Dervish #DDF #77C Template:D-color
NA-icon-small none #DDD #666 Template:X-color

Templates[]

In order to simplify the usage of the standard colors and eliminate the need to memorise the codes, the community has also implemented templates to represent each color for each profession. These templates can be used to simplify the insertion of the standard colors into articles. Here is the usage structure for the templates (the template W-color is used in the example):

{{W-color|xxx}}

Where xxx is one of the following values:

  • light
  • background (same as light)
  • dark
  • border (same as dark)

Note: if not specified, the default value is light
