Halcyon

The Halcyon

The Leviathan, Halcyon, is one of the primary defenses in the Luxons' fight against the Kurzicks. It is located in Boreas Seabed (Explorable), a short distance north of Zos Shivros Channel. Part vessel, part fortress, it moves slowly and only through vast amounts of manpower and magic.

Captain Rion is the commander of the Halcyon.

Trivia

The Halcyon and its crew are a reference to the Television series Firefly. The order of references is as follows:

Rion Malcolm Reynolds
Caly Kaywinnit Lee "Kaylee" Frye
Khim Jayne Cobb
Sao Shepherd Book
Ting Simon Tam
Hannai River Tam
Arani Inara Serra
Jo Zoe Washburne
Perlo "Wash" Washburne

Note also that "Halcyon", used as an adjective, means calm and peaceful, which can be a reference to the name of the ship (Serenity) from the Firefly TV series.

Another possible reference is to the video game Halo, in which the spaceship Pillar of Autumn is at one point referred to as a "Halcyon-class cruiser".

"Halcyon" derives from "Alcyone", daughter of the Greek ruler of winds, preventer of storms, and therefore bears some relation to Boreas.
