There are two basic types of Scrolls in Guildwars:
"Regular" Scrolls
These scrolls are Focus Items for Elementalists. These scrolls were renamed Earth Scrolls as part of the April 25th 2006 update.
Earth Scrolls are normally linked to the Elementalist Earth Magic attribute, although some collectors scrolls are linked to Energy Storage.
Insight Scrolls ("Rare" Scrolls)
This type of scroll provides an XP bonus to the whole party for a duration of time upon activation (by doubleclicking). There can be only one insight scroll active at a time, using a second scroll overrides the first.
Acquisition
Insight Scrolls can be obtained from:
- Bosses as loot
- Rare Scroll Traders (Rare Insight Scrolls only)
- Merchants (only Common Insight Scrolls and only from the Crystal Desert on)
- Collectors in
- Imperial Quartermasters in Kaineng Center (Factions)
