Either before or after completion of The Hot Springs Murders quest, he will be heard to say the following:
- "If you want to make yourself useful, you should go apprehend that band of murderers who call themselves the Shining Blade. Is there something else you need?"
When spoken to after killing the White Mantle at Farmer Milton's execution:
- "You expect thanks? From me? Ha! The Unseen Ones protect me. Me! Not a bunch of traitorous heathens! Don't think I won't report you to the authorities the first chance I get!
