:Rezyk, I made your change, but the search function doesn't seem to work right now for multi-word items now. Instead of searching for "Mossik Rottail" and returning 1 hit (of this talk page), it searches for "Mossik_Rottail" with an underscore and returns no hits. --Rainith 05:56, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

::Yeah, I couldn't find a way to fix that part without diving into lower level code, so I left the link in the same style that Wikipedia uses. (It works in Wikipedia correctly; the discrepancy is that their Special:Search page will replace those underscores with spaces, while GuildWiki doesn't for some reason). --Rezyk 16:03, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

:I suggest we keep search at the top. This page appears when someone mislinks into the wiki, not when someone looks for an article that doesn't exit. So, if you go to [ http://www.guildwiki.org/wiki/blabla] you will get this template. So, search should be the first thing offered because most like, the user wanted to find it, not write about it. --Karlos 07:55, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

:: That is totally right, Karlos. I think our search page is okay, it just needs some tweaking in how it presents stuff. I really like corrected version of the no article text. Gravewit 12:26, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Latest revision as of 16:03, 26 November 2005

I think we should elaberate this to make it have some use, i mean look at wikipedia:BLAHBLAH1234 compared to http://guildwiki.org/wiki/BLAHBLAH1234Skuld 05:43, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

MediaWiki talk:Noarticletext does not exist!

 • Check your spelling
 • Search for it.
 • Create Noarticletext
 • Has it been deleted?

Something like that. Yeh the wording could be better.. =P — Skuld 07:03, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Agreed --Xeeron 08:15, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks Karlos, I changed it a bit, added the namespace amd changed the edit link, and could you remove that horizontal rule, that was just there to seperate it from comments =) Could you update with the new bits — Skuld 12:19, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Oh and dopy Gravewit's edit needs removing =P — Skuld 13:07, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

After we're agreed on the final form of this it should probably be protected. (See the power has already gone to my head.)  ;) --Rainith 13:22, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
EDIT- nevermind, it is protected. *sigh* I'm blind now.... --Rainith 13:24, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Why remove the box? and the ---- is still there and can the create link just be PAGENAME sorry if im being picky =p --— Skuld 13:24, 23 November 2005 (UTC) (also rainith it is protected no?)

Yeah, it is Skuld, I'm just not used to seeing and edit tab on a page that is protected. --Rainith 13:29, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Ok Wiz kid, articles with no namespace get a lousy : (colon) before their name. Any ideas? --Karlos 13:49, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Leave it out, I suppose it says what the page is at the top — Skuld 03:45, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

I'm too tired to figure it out now, but we should probably fix it so you can click on the word "Create" in "Create [Article name] and have it take you to the edit page. --Rainith 03:53, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
EDIT- Son of a.... I am tired. Forget what I just said. Go on, nothing to see here.... --Rainith 03:54, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

This page still has some bugs, especially with articles that have spaces (for example, see Mossik Rottail). Here is a much-corrected version:

--Rezyk 11:28, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

Rezyk, I made your change, but the search function doesn't seem to work right now for multi-word items now. Instead of searching for "Mossik Rottail" and returning 1 hit (of this talk page), it searches for "Mossik_Rottail" with an underscore and returns no hits. --Rainith 05:56, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I couldn't find a way to fix that part without diving into lower level code, so I left the link in the same style that Wikipedia uses. (It works in Wikipedia correctly; the discrepancy is that their Special:Search page will replace those underscores with spaces, while GuildWiki doesn't for some reason). --Rezyk 16:03, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
