Mergoyle, the coastal version of the Ascalon Gargoyle, typically travel in packs with 2-4 other mergoyles. They normally do not have healers in their group, so they can be dealt with directly.

- The primary strategy they use is to cast Spirit Shackles followed by Mind Wrack. The shackles will drain your energy every time you attack. Once you run out of energy Mind Wrack kicks in and deals a fair amount of damage. This strategy can be overcome by simply not attacking or killing them with spells alone.
