These Moss Spiders cannot be tamed as pets by using the Charm Animal skill in Pre-Searing. They can, however, be charmed as pets in the Zaishen Menagerie, after being purchased from the Zaishen Keeper. Moss Spiders are generally peaceful; however, there are aggressive Moss Spiders in the Regent Valley area. They are also one of very few enemies to show their profession with a letter on the health bar, despite using no skills at all.

- Moss Spiders are available to be unlocked from a Zaishen Keeper in exchange for 5 Gold Zaishen Coins and 100 gold, or 50,000 Balthazar Faction.
- A Moss Spider Egg is available as a rare drop from the Gift of the Traveler. Giving it to Emryd will add the Moss Spider to your Zaishen Menagerie collection.
- Unlike the Black Widow, this pet does not give a unique statue to the Monument of Fellowship. It only provides the generic one.
