Nicholas the Traveler is a traveling collector who appears in various places in Tyria, Cantha, and Elona. He exchanges Gifts of the Traveler for various stackable items.

For the week of 6th July, 2009, Nicholas the Traveler is in the east edge of Mineral Springs, collecting 1 Stone Carving for 3 Feathered Avicara Scalps.
Dialogue
"The Stone Carvings found in these hallowed walls are legendary for their quality amongst the people of Kryta. Goods from a foreign land such as this are always of great value to trade, but ones of these particular quality are a rarity even by the standards of a city as proserous as Lion's Arch. I need to return to Kryta with something worth bartering so that I can continue to feed my big lummox of a friend here! So if you have the time to spare, would you mind helping me find 1 of them?"
Notes
- The Traveler is known as Nicholas Sandford in Pre-Searing Ascalon.
- You can exchange up to 5 Gifts per account per week.
- The items he requests are usually found near his location, which changes Mondays at approximately 8 am Pacific Time. Past and present collections and locations can be viewed here.

- An easy way to get to Nicholas is to exit Altrumm Ruins and enter Arborstone. Make sure you have more Luxon faction than Kurzick faction, so the resurrection shrine does not activate. Simply run towards a mob and let yourself die. You will be resurrected at a neutral shrine very close to Nicholas, and free of enemies. Simply run down the dark corridor to find him.

- Nicholas's name is probably a reference to the gift-giving Saint Nicholas.
