Nolani was especially known for the Academy of the Arcane Arts at the southern outskirts of the city. Before the searing there was not a more prestigious place in all Tyria than the Nolani Academy of Arcane Arts. Orr and Krytian high rank families struggled to have their children study with the mages of the Flaming Scepter. The ruins of the Nolani Academy are still bound to the ruins of the Drascir Academy via a magical portal.

Map of the ruins of Nolani and Rin

General Gescription

The city of Nolani is the subject of the Mission "Nolani Academy" and the quest cities of Ascalon. You can get to the starting point of the mission by completing the quest "Ruins of Surmia".

Location

The ruins of the city of Nolani are located in the southwest corner of the Diessa Lowlands, north of the Nolani Academy and the former capital Rin. See map for details.

Nolani belongs to the part of Ascalon that lays north of the Great Northern Wall. The Wall wasn't built yet at the time when Nolani was founded, though.

The Nolani Academy

Nolani was especially known for the Nolani Academy of the Arcane Arts at the southern outskirts of the city.

For further details about the Academy see:

The Historical Monument of Nolani

The Historical Monument of Nolani can be found within the ruins of the city (see map). It is one of the objectives in the quest Cities of Ascalon.

The inscription on monument reminds of the times when the city was founded:

Founded: Season of the Scion, 860 A.E.

The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness.

This monumentis placed in recognition of Ascalon's Chosen and all its members. May their dedication to the nation of Ascalon and the defense of the empire stand the test of the time.
