Notes
- In PvE play, most bosses in the game (and foes for that matter) are one single profession, which increases the odds that they mainly use skills from a single attribute, which again gives Power Block a time to shine. However, this skill is less useful in this type of play than in PvP because foes seldom live long enough or are powerful enough to justify completely disabling their skills.
- Although in most PvE play it is of limited usefulness, it can really shine in Hard Mode, where monsters are far, far more powerful than their regular counterparts, and shutting down a powerful one - such as a monk or elementalist - can easily turn the tide of a standoff, or even help reverse a losing battle.
- Used against a healing monk in PvP can completely shut down their healing long enough to finish off an enemy.
- In all cases, try to use Arcane Conundrum or Dazed to make interruption much easier.
- The effect of disabling spells of the same attribute will still take place even if the target's spell did not get interrupted (such as if target is protected by Mantra of Resolve). The disabling will cause the target's spell to fail, bypassing the anti-interruption effect.
- Other unlinked attribute spells will not be disabled by Power Block if it is used to interrupt an unlinked attribute spell.
