Each heal targets a random ally in the area around the spirit. Because this selection is random, the healing from this spirit will sometimes be wasted on characters that already have full health.
The range of this spirit's effect is "in the area", as opposed to the standard spirit range, so allies need to be rather close to it to be healed.
Unlike some other binding rituals, the healing ability of this spirit is not a skill and therefore uninterruptable, however it will still trigger Scourge Healing.
One of the main uses of this spirit stems not from its healing function, but rather from its low cost and very long duration. Unlike many other spirits, Preservation can very easily be kept up with little effort at all.
