Another form of rezoning is to, when in an instanced area, a member goes through a portal, either to reset the monsters, bring all the party members to the same place, or to avoid death.

To Rezone means to exit a city, outpost or mission location and then re-enter it with the purpose of landing into a different district. Parties trying to gather enough people to venture into an explorable area will often resort to this method when they cannot find any people to address their need in their present district. There is no way for the party to collectively change districts, so any party member simply steps out, waits for party members to connect, then steps back into the town.

It should be noted that rezoning is not guaranteed to work. It is possible to rezone and end up in the same district, or worse, end up in an empty district. In fact, if a party is in a crowded district, it is better that they do not rezone since chances are they will end up in a less crowded district with a smaller chance of finding the player(s) they need.

Note: When rezoning, take extra care not to lose members. After stepping out of the town, wait until all party members make it in (their status bars in the Party List will switch from silver to red). If you rezone back into town before these members make it you will lose them.
