  • Shatter Delusions is an extremely powerful spell for those who can time it correctly. If used in conjunction with a lot of Hexes, you can time Shatter Delusions within 1-2 seconds of their end to get a lot of "free" damage. Consider that if you end Conjure Phantasm 1 second early (10 damage normally) with Shatter Delusions, you "gain" damage by using Shatter Delusions with any level of Domination Magic. The more Domination Magic points you have invested, the bigger the gains, and the more leeway you have. You can also use Shatter Delusions on Hexes placed by other Mesmers, as long as your target is an enemy player.
  • Many Hexes, especially Phantom Pain, have special effects upon ending that make powerful combinations with Shatter Delusions. Since Phantom Pain causes a Deep Wound that will substantially lower a player's maximum and current health, using Shatter Delusions will cause a massive damage spike on a target. Many players with 1/3 or less life may simply die, depending on their maximum life and how much damage your Shatter Delusions does.
