Full: For 30 seconds, target foe has a 25% chance to miss with attacks. You gain 1...3...3 Energy whenever that foe fails to hit in combat.

Spirit of Failure is particularly useful in PvP, as it both recharges the caster's energy while frustrating enemies and lowering the effectiveness of their attacks. Warriors and assassins, especially those that use stances or shouts to enhance their attack speed, will provide the most energy in return.

Spirit of Failure can be combined with blindness or an accuracy-reducing hex like Blurred Vision to both increase the chance to miss and increase the energy gained.

This skill can be used to offset the energy drained by Distortion. Depending on your Inspiration magic attribute, this can result in gained energy.

This skill can be combined with Price of Failure as each will cause the enemy to miss more often, thereby triggering both effects more frequently than either alone. For even more fun, combine this skill with Price of Failure and Reckless Haste and Spiteful Spirit.
