Skill balancing schedule[]

First lol. - Are we gonna get a skill balance update this month? --Takisig2.png 19:44, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Remember they have changed their policy about updates. ANet is not promising or implying greater-than-bug-updates more than several times a year. They are sensibly combining skill balancing with other feature changes into fewer releases. (This is substantially more efficient than more frequent, smaller releases, especially considering the small size of the GW1 software team.) I don't expect any skill changes sooner than Wintersday.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:12, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
And there I thought I read somewhere that they said they'd do a skill balance patch every 2 months now?? --Takisig2.png 21:16, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
That was the interpretation made by some players on the official wiki of what they had read. I asked a while ago about whether they meant every two months vs. along with other feature changes; they said the latter. (I'll see if I can find the specific text.)
There's been a lot of misinformation about their plans...and ANet has done little to clarify, so the confusion is understandable.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:43, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I misinformed myself. Here's what ANet actually has said: Content updates will be done separately from the monthly maintenance and occur every three to four months.
  • Some players have interpreted that as a promise to update skills with a certain frequency; I don't.
  • My interpretation: (1) ANet will have monthly updates to release bug fixes (and whatever odd miscellany); don't expect any rebalancing in these. (2) There will be 3 or 4 more substantive updates, which will include new features (e.g. Dhuum, H'ween quests) and feature changes (which would include rebalancing and also the PvE henchbar changes).
ANet has never really clarified what they mean by monthly maintenance or Content update, which are terms that tend to mean different things to different software companies (and, I fear, different things within the same firm).
Short story: I don't expect any significant skill changes before Wintersday.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:08, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Now there might be a really easy way to check this by going into the game files and such, but I'm not that smart. So does anyone else think with all these "crash bug" fixes that they are sneaking in content for an orgasmic wintersday or anything? ShoganKiller Shogankillerflag.jpg 15:45, December 12, 2009 (UTC)

The only thing you can really check in Gw.dat is plain text, but there hasn't been anything new there this month other than some stuff for the in-game store promotions. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 15:50, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
You mean they might actually be fixing crash bugs? O_O RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG.png 16:47, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
haha, well I dunno, if all of these are bug fixes they should start killing the gnomes that are causing the bugs (or join the EEC, it would really help our membership) ShoganKiller Shogankillerflag.jpg 18:00, December 12, 2009 (UTC)

Missing updates[]

So, there was an update on the 11th, but we no longer have a record of it. ANet never posted notes on their official site, so it's unlikely we'll learn what was in the code. I would prefer that we document such updates, even though we lack the details. I don't see any reason to treat them differently from updates that include notes, as long as we include some type of standard text (e.g. "ANet hasn't yet posted notes of this update.")   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:02, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

We have no historical precedent for this - neither wiki has ever kept close track of undocumented updates. Why start now? I still don't understand the benefit. If there's no update notes, then there's no update notes - no one ever signed a contract with Anet forcing them to release notes with every single update. And before you bring up the code development analogy again, no, this is not the same. Of course they'll keep internal notes about everything they've changed, but if the change was just a few minor bug/crash fixes, there's no reason to waste company time/resources to rewrite those notes in an external format. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 02:15, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
I don't see any reason to treat these releases differently, even though they have been in the past. I'm not arguing ANet has any obligation to release notes on any updates. This wiki documents the game, so when game code is changed, let's make a note. I would prefer that we present something, even when the software company chooses to present nothing.
I also cannot argue that the benefits are substantial: Some people check both wikis when they see the game update spam in-game; many check whenever the see the auto-update feature engaged. So, an early note would be helpful to them. Others are curious whether ANet is getting worse (or better) at releasing changes, so they are interested in how many times/month the company puts out new software (and how often it is new content vs bug fixes or minor tweaks). Is any of that necessary? No, certainly not. However, it's cheap to provide the info/data, so why not?   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:57, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
Bah, arguing about it is just wasting more of my time. If you think it's worth spending time on, then do it. I don't care anymore. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 04:08, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

Can't log in? Any speculation on what might've caused it, aside from EoE. =P--Darksyde 00:17, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

I don't see why everyone is making a big deal about it. So there's a problem with logging in. ANet knows about it and is trying to fix it. (personally I'm enjoying the possibilties people are saying, such as EoE or nerfing shadow form, as the causes) Chibi Moon Shadow 00:27, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
You know, I'm not that worried, and would've never been if it weren't for all the talk of hackers. My friend told me on a messenger that she can't log in, and instantly I thought "Fucking hackers!". Looked into it, found this, and my only concern is that all the accounts would be deleted. However, Anet being pretty reliable, I was quite sure it wouldn't be it. Even still... scary though, eh?--Darksyde 00:28, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
Just cause I'm a picky jerk, it actually took about 40 minutes to fix the bug.--gene195 00:32, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
Well, it's fixed now. And much to everyone's(I assume) relief they did NOT nerf Shadow Form. I do agree it was scary, but I found out orignally through the GuildWars fan page on Facebook. Within minutes of the bug they said that they knew something was wrong with the update and were working on a fix. I think I'll still change my passwords anyways, considering I almost forgot the one to my 2nd account. Chibi Moon Shadow 00:39, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
It was caused probably by their reconnection bug fix, as it dealt specifically with security question answers. I think they could have done much better with the costumes, I realize something like that takes a lot of time and effort to do, but they look way too cartoony and unfinished for me to spend 10 bucks on them ShoganKiller Shogankillerflag.jpg 11:37, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
The way I see it, my $10 just fed the Anet staff for a day. That's a whole day they can work on GW2 instead of dumpster diving. It's totally worth it, even if I think the costumes are not "all that". --Macros 16:10, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
I think the costumes are great. Now players who play certain professions will get to look how they want to. I remember that a lot of people who I've helped in the past who are new to the game were disappointed that necromancers can't get the standard "caped sorceror/villain" look with standard armor. These new types of armor will be nice for monks, mesmers, rangers, and assassins. Personally, I think the costumes look excellent, and I'll definitely be buying the set soon. You don't have a debit card? Don't you have to have a bank account to set up PayPal anyway? Those usually come with debit cards. That's what I use. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG.png 11:05, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

What I'm saying is that you don't need a PayPal account if you have a debit card, which you usually get if you have a bank account, which you usually need to set up PayPal anyway. I didn't like having PayPal, because (coincidentally?) I started getting a lot of spam after setting mine up, and also a lot of phishing emails about PayPal accounts, and it was just freaking me out too much. :/ Not to mention, it got suspended after I purchased something form GW when I came to Ukraine. So, if a debit card is an option for him (and I don't see why not), he should use that instead. Plus I don't feel too comfortable with NCsoft, so I always use the in-game store now. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG.png 11:15, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
I don't know what the exact defenition is of a debit card. We have bank cards used for getting money at ATM's, and for paying in shops. Although in a differend way then a credidcard, (where you pay after a month or something) ou bank cards withdraw money from the paying account instantly. And trust me, I can't pay at the GW store with one. Also, thanks for singing. Arnout aka The Emperors Angel 11:55, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, that's exactly what a debit card is, it uses the money in your bank account. I use mine in the GW in-game store all the time, it's a VISA tied to my U.S. bank account. Maybe it's based by country, too bad you're sure you can't use yours. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG.png 12:18, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
Mine's a Maestro, and outside the EU, that's not supported anywhere. Arnout aka The Emperors Angel 12:33, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, that's why. The in-game store only supports VISA, Master Card, American Express/AmEx Corporate and Discover. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG.png 15:01, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
Back in the olden days (you can still get them sometimes, if you specifically request it), ATM cards were just ATM cards. The "check card" added the VISA/MC/AMex bits to it so that you can use it "like a charge card," incidentally also affecting things like liability, consumer protections, etc. E.g. if there is fraud on your debit card, you are out the money until it is resolved in your favor; with a credit card, you dispute the charge and don't pay it until it is resoled in the merchant's favor. 23:46, April 23, 2010 (UTC)
Great info, I didn't know that. But it has zero value in this case. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG.png 01:25, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

The Mesmer update[]

It may not be noted here, but it shows in game. They've been talking about it for ages, and it has finally come. Mesmers have been buffed for pve. Now, this may go unnoticed by much of the community, because mesmers will still have the same learning curve it has always had, or the opposite might be true, with mesmer nukers running around with builds that put pre-nerf Cryway to shame. But I know now that I will be less wary when adding a mesmer to a group (if I ever see one that is). This is a day of rememberance, a day of triumph, a day where the power creep completely changes the way mesmers have been treated in pve since day 1. And people, playing guildwars 2 years from now, will ask you: Where were you when mesmers were changed? And I can say: In game killing stuff with my mesmer of course. Arcdash 06:28, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

There is no mention on the recent Game updates notes that the Mesmer changes have been released into the live game as yet. The changes should still only be at the eval/testing stage. Oh yes...PvE might gain another level of difficulty for this. And I hope they don't adjust it because its too hard (like they did for the WoH boss in Thirsty River was changed after people complained he was too hard). Personally...I actually kind of want to see scarier mesmers in pve, masochistic monk that I am. Arcdash 17:37, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, I've already known that xD A big mesmer change is still welcome by me, because it could cause naysayers to see that PvE can really be a challenge. Its a double edged sword, sure, but in this case both sides of the sword benefit in the end. It allows mesmers into PvE, and it makes PvE that much more tactical and less sheer damage. Shadow form isn't nerfed XD! Docta Jenkins 15:13, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
Yes it is. You need a lot more focussed build, or a "balanced" build with cons to get the same effect as the old SF build. The main problem is that even though they're more difficult, people still find ways to make them the best at their job.--TalkpageEl_Nazgir 16:26, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
I think the 3 he listed do illustrate good examples of imbalance that did take a considerable amount of time for them to rebalance or eve acknowledge. -- 08:17, May 16, 2010 (UTC)
She, I think. But that's besides the point. Guild Wars is becoming more and more like some OTHER MMO's I can think of, where they seem to stop bothering to balance at all, and merely shuffle around who and what is overpowered periodically. Honestly, I wonder why it takes them forever and ever and ever to nerf things that are CLEARLY broken, and at the same time fail to buff skills/classes that need it. The entire point of balance is to find a "Baseline" of effectiveness, and then make everything and everyone else balanced in comparison. Different, but balanced. Honestly I think they need to take their heads out of there asses, and do a giant update to change/buff/nerf at least 40% of the skills in the game. Heck, this update is a bit moot, I've always rathered bring a Mesmer than a Dervish, they're in need of a buff worse imo.
That would be lovely, but a) they don't care and b) there's basically only one employee that still works on Guild Wars. Felix Omni Signature.png 02:32, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
I am in no way, shape, or form a woman. Nazgir, you obviously don't farm AT ALL. Shadow Form isn't nerfed at all, did you know that sliver armor now does MORE damage then it did before? That plus Shroud of Distress makes you just as invincible as before, but wait? You do more damage now? I also forgot to mention I've built a build based on this nerf that uses visage skills and famine? O: This was far from a nerf, if anything it was a small buff. 19:14, May 19, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, the removal of the percentage-based damage cap and the free damage reduction have actually made Shadow Form better than before the nerf in nearly all situations. Felix Omni Signature.png 21:45, May 19, 2010 (UTC)
1) What the hell does being a woman or not have anything to do with what I said?
2) No, I barely play anymore, I indeed do not farm.
3) Perhaps some builds work better than before, but you take a lot more damage than previously, making it worse at tanking than it previously was. Also, some mobs have anti-blocking skills and don't care much about shroud.--TalkpageEl_Nazgir 14:57, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Let's hope this update reflects some of Anet's thinking as far as GW2 goes. Mesmers are one of the more interesting classes in GW. It would be nice to have a disruption class viable in all sorts of situations. Lazuli 14:38, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

40/40 items[]

So.. does this update do anything in regards to 40/40 items like 20/20 wands and foci? Meaning it will now be 25HCT/40HSR? 12:08, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Research is needed on this. IIRC it's 2 chances of 20%. (HCT 20 means a 1/5 roll for the wand, and another 1/5 roll on the focus, for a total of 36/36, see 40/40, this may be out of date, however RandomTime
NWash and I have updated 40/40. The standard HCT still works, as single sources can exceed the cap, but 40/40 can no longer quarter casting time. It's a flat 36% chance of both now. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 16:25, May 23, 2010 (UTC)
Well, if the effects don't stack, wouldn't it be a 36% chance of either going off AND a 4% chance of both going off but not stacking? That would, essentially, make it a 40% HCT. (36+4=40) 04:07, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
No, because it's only a 32% chance of either going off, not 36%. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 14:03, May 28, 2010 (UTC)

No, they haven't given any specific details about it. They'll probably release a skill update preview beforehand. They also said their current top priority is a GvG update, which they expect to take a couple months, while the dervish update is their second priority, and "it may or may not be ready at the same time as the GvG changes." So it'll be a while, either way. --Macros 21:23, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Tbh, all they have is Eremites, Mystic, WS (PvP) and Reaper's (PvE). Can't think of other skills that really stand out. Most avatars are shit due to their design (temporary effects for an elite = dumb), or their effects are just terrible (lolBalth). They need some overhaul that makes them non-terrible. Most of the Dervish enchantments, which is what their primary attribute was designed for, are utterly ignored. And that sums up most of their skills as well. --- VipermagiSig.JPG -- (contribs) (talk) 19:33, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, as a long time Dervish player, I hope they make the skills more interesting. Eremites and mystic are probably strapped to any (normal/non-gimmick) build, and I have found much less fun experimenting with builds on derv than on other professions, because of the limited valid combinations. Avatar of dwayna is a great avatar, and usually all the self-heal one needs (and almost hex-immunity), but the rest is... meh.
As for PvP, I never found Dervish fun to play, assassin, monk and elementalist are much more enjoyable there.--TalkpageEl_Nazgir 19:51, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

Fun ele build :D Discord caller is also buckets of joy. However, all actual ele spells are shit for damage. Use them for secondary effects. Focusing around KDs with Unsteady Ground and Churning Earth is fun as well (Tryptophan Signet also fits fairly well, but be sure to not use it at the same time as Churning). Love it. Used that to great effect in Sorrow's Furnace. Fair amount of powerful melee foes that all run faster than normal? lolowned bitches. My ele's also an expert in physical support.
I completed Gyala Hatchery on HM with a Hammer ele, btw. I have a perfect Shocking Celestial Hammer <3 That was neat. Great Dwarf Armor helped a good deal. --- VipermagiSig.JPG -- (contribs) (talk) 10:47, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

In unranked PVP, WS, CHilling victory, and reap impurities (with eremites on the end) plus Attacker's insight and guiding hands is really very nice for big numbers. You would need a IAS in ranked pvp, but in unranked... meh. blow things up. ( 04:16, July 2, 2010 (UTC))
Reap Inpur is terrible. Why would you ever consider using it especially PVP.--Ikimono...And my Axe!Monk-Paragon-icon.png 13:58, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
AI makes it cost 0 (so you might as well be using a ten e attack), it does really big numbers, and a small heal doesnt hurt. Especially when soloing the four turtle guards. ( 15:19, July 8, 2010 (UTC))
Reap Impurities is strictly inferior to Victorious Sweep. Same damage (@ 14 scythe), except it's half the energy and half the recharge. So you can use it twice in the same amount of time, for the same energy, for twice as much damage. The condition heal may be more reliable, but if it's your only self heal it's not going to make a difference either way. --Macros 17:30, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
By that logic, any skill that can be repeatedly used over a duration of time for the same effect as some other skill, is better. But this is not so. ( 01:49, July 24, 2010 (UTC))
Vic Sweep is still better. -- 01:52, July 24, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, by that logic, yes. And that logic is the correct logic.--Ikimono1 04:38, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

essentially nothing changed. Pretty much only GvG was effected where Shatter would blow up patient on a spike and the damage would be neutralized. — Scythe 16:34, 10 Dec 2010 (UTC)
And in FA where monks used this as a cover enchantment for the Siege Turtle Attacks. Pretty decent nerf IMO. Filled With Elephants 21:50, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
tbh I doubt Anet cares about balancing FA. It's more keep the ladder from shitploding and make sure nothing can roll HA for 24hrs that they do. — Scythe 22:15, 12 Dec 2010 (UTC)
Which, hilariously enough, is what balancing is. 22:10, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Dervish Changes - Other Things[]

A couple of other things I've noticed:

  • Creatures summoned by Summoning Stones now appear as Allies
  • If you type /deaths, it now (might) show how much experience you have earned since last death
Just checked in game, confirmed on both points, but I don't know if its the dervish update or the feb 18th updates.--Łô√ë Gigathrash sig G.jpgîğá†ħŕášħ 20:47, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
They were both in the 17th. Talk on GWW seemed split on whether the summon->ally thing worked on all summoning stones, though. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 21:01, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Clarification: The /deaths command will only show experience if you have died since the update.--Łô√ë Gigathrash sig G.jpgîğá†ħŕášħ 23:04, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
I am not having that happen. For me it always just shows a blank area, even if I die and then kill a monster for 17 experience. 01:30, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, for me it says I've gained experience since death (although it does not say how much), even if I haven't gained any. User:N Segick Segick 01:42, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Celestial summons, atleast celestial pigs dont show up as allies. 19:40, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Through my testing, the stones that can only produce one ally will add it into the party window, stones that produce more then one (War Horn) and stones that produce a random one (Mysterious, Zaishen, Celestial) will not add to party window.--Łô√ë Gigathrash sig G.jpgîğá†ħŕášħ 19:42, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Zomg! The gigster is actually playing? (or just testing?). Thanks for providing the info; I was wondering about the determining factor. (BTW, the War Horn also fits into the random category; the 3 summons can be one of four profs.)  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:43, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

I had a Mysterious summoning stone give me a Juggernaut and it added it to my party window. Jink 18:01, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Sigh. I blame ANet's Inconsistent Naming Convention code, which seems to pop up all over the place :-/ Alright, so I've use the cele-stone the most often and never seen a celestial as a listed ally. Each time someone has used a single-create stone, it has shown up on the list. It would seem that the mysteries are being... mysterious.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:34, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
I tested the Mysterious stones a bit more, and for me it always added to the allies list, whether the summon was also available from a specific stone (Juggernaut, Gaki, Fire Imp, Golem, Kveldulf, Snowman) or not (Saltspray Dragon, Smoke Phantom). —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 19:59, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
I have been trying to use up my Cele-stones, so I haven't recently activated mysteries. Could it have something to do with who uses the stone? (That would be odd.) I am tempted to waste a few stones trying it out, but more likely, I'll toss a few to someone else to use. (Of course, it's also possible that I'm mistaken...except that Giga is apparently seeing the same thing.)  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 01:23, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
My testing was done on the 19th, so they might have done some patching between then and Ishy's testing.--Łô√ë Gigathrash sig G.jpgîğá†ħŕášħ 01:24, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Aura of Restoration: increased recharge to 20 seconds. Aura of Restoration had its recharge increased a bit; otherwise it would have been too powerful of a cover enchantment for these skills. found at the developers blog. but there is no mention of it here or at gw site. i just checked on my elementalist, it does require 20 seconds to recharge. J1j2j3 23:11, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

The AoR recharge time is 20s on both sites. Did you mean that the commentary isn't available? Both sites link to the full dev notes (and, slowly but surely, GWW has been added skill history pages that usually include the developer notes next to each update).
Or did you mean something else altogether?  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:16, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

The Commando skills are real. They are not just spoofs. Real as in used in Annihilator. Do we know how long this quest will be available? Is it worth separating these out from the totally spoof stuff. As to Annihilator the mission itself was straightforward enough. T'was fun to go back to pre-searing, and to be able to directly compare map to post as the mission map was the post-searing version. 19:54, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I know it's real, I just want it in my mainbar :P Also, if you got a reliable way to deal with the Anmihilator it's probably one of the fastest, if not the fastest way of getting vanguard points. (edit conflict) A sysop's job is more to keep the wiki running (escalated user conflicts, ban/del/prot). Content is separate from that, and is handled by every contributor. It's a wiki. It's anyone's job, and nobody's. You can make it your job, if you like :) --Vipermagi 14:43, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
@75, I (semi) recently added 8 updates that no one had added because I knew this page wasn't being updated at a pace equal to that of the game updates. However, I've not been playing GW at all for about 8 months and I don't "get that notification" when my game launches and updates itself that a new page needs to be made. That said, it's not my personal job to update this page, as others have said, it's the community's job, feel free to do it yourself if you feel it needs to be done that badly. ∵Scythe∵ 22:41, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
Thing is, you have to have an account that edits five pages before you can create a page. It's no problem having an account and to me it can be easier and more fun and less of a worry on others to assume if I am a spam or not as I believe that a majority of the spam that this community has gotten - has come from ip addresses. It'd help a lot in all around and it's not that bad to get to know people with an account rather than an Ip. It's more "personal" and more "fun". 03:48, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
I find it ironic that Ishmael has blocked anon edits on several occasions, has advocated the new policy on anonymous editing and pretends like he's not a total dickhead in disguise. The reason I'm not adding it is because Ishmael has made it clear that his word is far superior to anyone elses, and I'd rather not deal with his bullshit. Scythe, thanks for doing your best to keep it updated, I know it's not your job. Ishmael, I understand that it's your job to alienate new editors and old ones that don't agree with you, so keep up the good work! 04:47, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
Where do you see me "advocating" Curse's restrictions on anonymous editing? Nowhere, because I haven't. On the contrary, Gigathrash and I have both asked Wynthyst to remove them, but Curse hasn't yet agreed to lift them completely (some of that interaction occurred on IRC, but there is discussion on her talkpage about it). —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 14:08, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
75, please assume less bad faith. Ish has not blocked these anon edits on "several occasions". Quiet the contrary, we've had spammers attacking and had abuse filter installed as well as other useful extensions. It was curse that stopped the anon creation of pages within reason, the spam bots displaying bad things. So, he's not ailenating new editors or old ones. Old ones and new anons can create usernames which in turn after editing 5 times (not hard to do you know), can create any page they want. There are ways and things that enables uses to edit, etc. or even ask others to create a page willingly and allow anyone to edit them. It's better to assume good faith and be nice, than to say anything bad at all. 15:12, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
"Ishmael, I understand that it's your job to alienate new editors and old ones that don't agree with you[...]" Tais toi vous tromper! Ishmael does more for this wiki than any other contributor, it literally would not exist in the state it is today (would look rather shit at wikia) without him. Without his tireless efforts, the wiki would be a far worse place with a far worse userbase than it has today. Ish has shown on many occasions that he is able to walk away as an administrator when he gets personally involved (otherwise your ass would be grass) and we're lucky to have him. ∵Scythe∵ 20:22, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
