Representatives redirecting to the wrong place?[]

I just noticed that when using the representatives in the Great Temple of Balthazar, they are taking the player to the wrong places. When I tried to go to the jade quarry, they sent me to Fort aspenwood instead and when I tried to go to Fort Aspenwood, they wouldn't let me. Yep, the issue has been fixed. However, I think it should be noted that PvE/RP characters cannot access the missions if they haven't been to those places before. --SavageX 23:56, 17 August 2006 (CDT)

You're not serious. EoE was the bane of friend and foe alike in AB, because a dumb EoE-bomber would gladly sacrifice ten people from his team to take out three attackers, leading to a loss by numbers. And come on, it's not as if the Ranger-class doesn't have other great skills to choose from, it's still one of my favourite classes. New Weapons/Items...[]

Ok, the in-game rumor mill is going on in my alliance, here is what I am hearing:

  • New "Jade Sword" in the Jade Sea from the Outcasts.
  • New "Shield of the Hunt" in the Forest from the Wardens.
  • A bow in the FoW.

Regarding the Stoneherder's Flatbow, I don't think we will see that bow anytime soon or at all. ANet doesn't seem to know or care as that it is not in the game (Aratak asked them about it with little success regarding the issue). The only reason we know the item blueprint exists is that ANet updated all weapons with AP to 20/20 and that item was one of them. That doesn't mean the item is linked to any bosses' *cough* Drago Stoneherder *cough* drop list yet. The blueprint could just be in the client floating around in limbo.

Hand Axe is a new one but I don't have permission to link to it. It's the same colors of the new hammer skin, looks similar to a large hammer of sorts, very angular, a short handle, and spiked ridges on top where the haft and blade meet.--Vallen Frostweaver 13:44, 23 August 2006 (CDT)

Not my image and it's on a fan site forum. I like to stay out of hot water if it can be avoided and posting another's image without their permission is not something I like to do. I've know some who got angry at this and purposefully attacked this wiki site because of it. So, I'm erring on the side of caution here. I would prefer our own article on this item. The link can be at the article's talk page for evidence.
The issues in the past have mainly been with posting off-site images directly within the wiki (not links). We only allow images that are uploaded into the wiki. Because images uploaded to the wiki must be sharable under the site license, we also remove uploaded images where there's obvious copyrights on the image that would prevent them from being shared under the site license.
We have a policy to not have articles about other sites (we're not an internet directory), and when we have our own content, we remove links from articles but permit them to remain in talk pages. The main reason for this is that where we've had links to other sites in articles, we've seen issues where a second, third, fourth, etc site will come along and say "well if you link to their info, you should also link to our info", which results in long-lists of links that again become nothing but an internet directory (which we're not). --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 09:12, 24 August 2006 (CDT)

I've moved the link to the talk page for the Hand Axe article (still giving Vallen credit for mentioning it here). Once we have our own image (someone's bound to have or find one) we can upload a second image to the article and mention any stats variance if they exist.

There is difference with this one as I beleive it only drops from certain enemies/chests in certain area(s) and is always Purple or Gold (as is the case for the other 'new' skins). This is still in testing but a separate page may be necessary or at least something noting the difference between them on the same page. Small UI fix?[]

If you are talking about the small gren '+' in the party screen and such, they were replaced in the update that you linked to. You might have had a crrupted file or something if you saw the buttons after that update. --Gem-icon-sm.png (talk) 08:57, 19 August 2006 (CDT)
The green buttons are all buttons, that have green background (like this: green876905.jpg) ... When new UI update was here, those buttons changed shape, and when you pressed that green button, it still had the old UI look. This was fixed prior to this update tho. --weby 11:15, 28 August 2006 (CDT)

Minotaur change[]

After this update the Minotaurs in Elonas Reach no longer consistantly hit for 60 versus characters with 0ac. This severely limits the ability of the Spirit Bond Monk to farm them. Further testing is necessary to determine whether this is a change purely to the minotaurs or a universal change to the damage calculations for mobs.

That's really not the deduction to be made from the findings you are seeing. I would investigate Spirit Bond. --Karlos 08:59, 24 August 2006 (CDT)
