After this update the Minotaurs in Elonas Reach no longer consistantly hit for 60 versus characters with 0ac. This severely limits the ability of the [http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Mo/any_Spirit_Bonder Spirit Bond Monk] to farm them. Further testing is necessary to determine whether this is a change purely to the minotaurs or a universal change to the damage calculations for mobs.

Representatives redirecting to the wrong place?[]

I just noticed that when using the representatives in the Great Temple of Balthazar, they are taking the player to the wrong places. When I tried to go to the jade quarry, they sent me to Fort aspenwood instead and when I tried to go to Fort Aspenwood, they wouldn't let me. Anyone else experienced this? --SavageX 22:50, 17 August 2006 (CDT)

Just tested w/both Kurzick and Luxon, both send you to the wrong places. --Rainith 22:59, 17 August 2006 (CDT)
Another update: They fixed this issue. Katscratched 23:25, 17 August 2006 (CDT)
Yep, the issue has been fixed. However, I think it should be noted that PvE/RP characters cannot access the missions if they haven't been to those places before. --SavageX 23:56, 17 August 2006 (CDT)
Um, it is noted in the update: They also are able to transport roleplaying characters who have previously visited these outposts. --Rainith 11:06, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
Doh, my bad. Forget I said anything then --SavageX 04:29, 19 August 2006 (CDT)

EoE[]

Will the EoE nerf cause the EoE bomb finnaly to go away?--Deserth 23:09, 17 August 2006 (CDT)

Technically it should. But EoE bombing has become such a big part of another disliked team build, IWAY. :) So, I am doubly happy. --Karlos 23:54, 17 August 2006 (CDT)
basically makes this skill worthless from a farming perspective. --Honorable Sarah Honorable Icon 00:18, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
A total nerf. not worth anything at all now. the greatest skill in the game goes down the drain, and maims all rangers around the world. :[ Foo 03:03, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
Crap. There goes the only point of my 55hp ranger. (What point, you might ask) --Gem-icon-sm (talk) 03:08, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
You're not serious. EoE was the bane of friend and foe alike in AB, because a dumb EoE-bomber would gladly sacrifice ten people from his team to take out three attackers, leading to a loss by numbers. And come on, it's not as if the Ranger-class doesn't have other great skills to choose from, it's still one of my favourite classes. With or without EoE - frankly, preferably without. --Black Ark 03:24, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
Yeah, rangers rock anyway, but if not the best skill, then it was atleast the most fun skill. nolani charr farming, urgoz bombing, dragon throat bombing, spider cave bombing... it's all gone now. Foo 03:43, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
I do think the nerf is a bit overkill...now the skill is almost entirely without use, as opposed to being almost without use except for a couple of trick pvp builds and farming. They could have gone softer on the nerf hammer >.> --Sami 05:35, 18 August 2006 (CDT)

New Weapons/Items...[]

Ok, the in-game rumor mill is going on in my alliance, here is what I am hearing:

  • New "Jade Sword" in the Jade Sea from the Outcasts.
  • New "Shield of the Hunt" in the Forest from the Wardens.
  • A bow in the FoW.

Please add info here with screenshots if possible or links to threads. --Karlos 00:03, 18 August 2006 (CDT)

Update: FoW did not download any files. Just making a note. --Karlos 00:25, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
UpdatE: Jade Sword is confirmed in this thread. --Karlos 00:27, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
I added Gloom Shield from that thread. I also changed the note from 'Added new items' to 'Added new skins', because that's what they are. --Gem-icon-sm (talk) 01:22, 18 August 2006 (CDT)

oh, well, i just scanned the thread for images, dont like reading too much ;) HJT 06:21, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
Regarding the Stoneherder's Flatbow, I don't think we will see that bow anytime soon or at all. ANet doesn't seem to know or care as that it is not in the game (Aratak asked them about it with little success regarding the issue). The only reason we know the item blueprint exists is that ANet updated all weapons with AP to 20/20 and that item was one of them. That doesn't mean the item is linked to any bosses' *cough* Drago Stoneherder *cough* drop list yet. The blueprint could just be in the client floating around in limbo.
On a different note, the Jade Sword looks like a Rapier from the screenshot. Nice. -Gares 06:35, 18 August 2006 (CDT)

I would prefer our own article on this item. The link can be at the article's talk page for evidence.
