Ok. This means I can start looking for someone with the Asura minipet, and then mug them ask them nicely about the article before I'm able to buy a copy for myself on April 3rd >_> --Maoric 22:44, 15 March 2007 (CDT)

Oh gods preserve us!! Is the code the same for all purchaser's of a specific publication (ie, "Fred's Gaming Magazine - April 2007" all have the same code), or is it a unique code generated for each individual magazine published? (ie, buy two copies of FGM April 2007, and get two different codes)? If it's the later, I sense a new scam coming. We're going to start seeing a flood of "WTS Asura Minipet Code" spamming its way on our All channels and ppl being sold bogus codes (ie, just random letters/numbers made to "look" like a valid code). Not happy days. :( --Wolfie Wolfie sig.jpg (talk|contribs) 00:53, 16 March 2007 (CDT)
Well, if the code was the same for all, there would be no way to ensure people actually bought the magazine, which is the whole point of this campaign. Someone would just post it on a message board and there you go: Free Asuras for everybody. Not likely. --84-175 (talk) 02:47, 16 March 2007 (CDT)
Yes, that would be my assumption too (likely that Anet buried into some aspect of the code that enables them to track which magazine a player got their code from, and so they can determine which magazines generated the most interest in GW), in which case, perhaps might be worthwhile adding something to the "common scams" page with the suggestion players only trade for the actual Asura mini-pet itself, rather than an "alleged unlock" code. Might wait and see if ppl start trying to sell codes first. --Wolfie Wolfie sig.jpg (talk|contribs) 03:03, 16 March 2007 (CDT)
Why would anyone buy a code instead of the mini itself? No one is that stupid. --Gem-icon-sm.png (talk) 04:29, 16 March 2007 (CDT)
hehe, we can but only hope! :) --Wolfie Wolfie sig.jpg (talk|contribs) 04:41, 16 March 2007 (CDT)
Actually, as I understand it, you can only link one code to your account and thus only sell one actual mini. You could, however, buy multiple magazines to get multiple codes and sell those. It would make sense. Also, "no one is that stupid." is a statement that I would never agree to without reserve. ;) --84-175 (talk) 06:41, 16 March 2007 (CDT)
Pretty much the same as it was with the Gray Giant, then. — User:Kyrasantae kyrasantae 06:59, 16 March 2007 (CDT)
I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement. If minipigs can be sold for a hundred plat, anything can happen. Kessel 13:04, 19 March 2007 (CDT)

Anyone saw the minipet battle stance thing already? 14:22, 16 March 2007 (CDT)

My mini Charr Shaman and Necrid Horseman both periodically do this thing where it kinda looks like it's doing the /boo emote. First saw it yesterday, so I guess that's it's battle stance. First time I saw it I hadn't seen the update notes and wondered what the hell it was doing. My mini-Temple Guardian doesn't seem to do anything new however. Fungal wallow kinda lowers it's head and paws at the ground, and waves it's tail, like a bull getting ready to charge. Minipig paws the ground as well. Whiptail devourer raises it's claws and tails, much like an actual scorpion in attack posture. Haven't tried any of my others yet, I will be testing them over the next couple days. In wich magazines will the key come? Are there any Dutch magazines that have it? --SigmA Omigod.jpg 15:40, 16 March 2007 (CDT)

Tried clicking the link in the article? --Rainith 15:48, 16 March 2007 (CDT)

I don't see the point of enabling the Asura NOW if the first magazine with the code doesn't come out until March 27th in Greece...(Click the link in the article.)It just doesn't make any sense. Why not do it the update before the magazine comes out? o.O - -Sora267Spiteful Spirit.jpg 17:48, 16 March 2007 (CDT)

The US magazines were mailed out to subscribers yesterday, which is probably why it was enabled yesterday. The dates listed on the web page are dates they are to appear at retailers. --Rainith 18:05, 16 March 2007 (CDT)
