POI? im sure thats not in the name Skuld Monk 05:48, 15 May 2006 (CDT)

I couldn't think of a better name. If you can think of one, feel free to move it.
The easiest solution would have been to rename Haiju Lagoon into Haiju Lagoon (area), and make Haiju Lagoon the article about the actual lagoon instead. But that would have been bad, because 95% of the links to Haiju Lagoon are meant to link to the explorable area, not the lagoon. --Tetris L Tetris L block 07:15, 15 May 2006 (CDT)
How about jsut merge the two? Give the POI its own entire top level section. Like how we do Cantha and Tyria. -PanSola 07:29, 15 May 2006 (CDT)

(re-indent to bring back the discussion)

I propose that we rename this article to Haiju Lagoon (Landmark) (and leave alone the area article):

  • This site has deprecated the use of POI in favor of Landmark (see the wall of text regarding the template formerly known as POI)
  • 99% of the links point the article on the zone, which is good since 99% of the interest is there
  • the subject of this article satisfies the various conditions for Landmark status: it is referred to in-game, it is a point of reference/interest, it has its own sign.

Please post here if you have any objections/alternative suggestions.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:05, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Since the Landmark article includes in its criteria "Geographic points-of-interest", it would seem your proposed solution is both reasonable and accurate. Although semantically, I feel weird referring to a body of water as a "landmark". lol. -- AudreyChandler 22:14, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
lol indeed! Still, it's not as if we could use watermark instead ;-)   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:22, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
that... would be awesome. /highfive @ good puns. -- AudreyChandler 03:22, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
