Despite the half the normal spell range, this is a good spell to spam while under Divine Spirit. --67.121.194.96 16:14, 30 April 2006 (CDT)

I'm surprised no one has noted the skill's strength as a monk's self heal.

It is "target other ally" so can't be used on yourself.

I have noticed that if Hero monks have this skill on their bar, they will prefer to use it instead of other healing skills. This is bad, as the monk hero will end up near or on the front line and dead. As a side note, it is like giving a hero Elementalist a PBAoE spell. When they have nothing better to do, the hero E will run into the fray just to cast their PBAoE spell (instead of just for defense). They then never return to the back, even if told not to fight. Careful consideration should be given before allowing Healing Whisper (and for that matter, any PBAoE) to be used by a hero. Queen Schmuck 17:52, 5 December 2006 (CST)

So don't give your heroes PBAoE? I won't even let humans using PBAoE into my groups. My Dunkoros -- all of them -- have always had this skill from day one and have never rushed in to use it, ever. Maybe you're piling 10 / 15e skills on your Monk heroes and thus when they've used those a few times they don't have the energy for anything but this? Apeiron 21:30, 20 February 2007 (CST)

Article page: "Watch your energy when using this skill - you can run out of it sooner than you realise." ... How do you figure that? Since when do monks use their skills based on how fast they can spam them, rather than based on how much healing their party members need? --[riVen] 21:58, 10 January 2007 (CST)

I'm surprised that no one has noted this skill's strength at dishing out relatively powerful heals to the backline members of your party (other casters, Rangers / Paragons). Of the five energy non-AoE heals, this outranks pretty much everything. Even Glimmer of Light and the venerable Word of Healing (speaking unconditional healing here). I always use it when I go heals expressly for that purpose. Powerful, spammable backline healing. Apeiron 21:30, 20 February 2007 (CST)

too constricting for a primary monk. no monk likes to move around while healing. and to bring a skill just for the purpose of healing backline party members, is, IMO, just plain stupid, considering this isnt WoW and u have limited skills.

I like this on my monk, specially in teams like barrage pet, where everyone is backline...~Soqed Hozi~

Changed related skills to those which have a powerful heal balanced by a drawback, which is the point of this skill. Zulu Inuoe 05:40, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
