has anyone noticed that mantids of most kind seem to resurrect themselves in the charr homelands? it may just be be, but I cant be sure... I know the queens res, but they seem to keep getting back up even without queens being there :S HexDaemon 13:51, 2 September 2007 (CDT)

I've seeen that happening too, kinda funny to see. -- 13:54, 2 September 2007 (CDT)
I think that the Diggers, erm, dig. I haven't caught one doing it yet, but I think they go underground to avoid dying. And then come back and get killed =D Theonecynic 15:21, 2 September 2007 (CDT)

I havnt seen them dig either. just now i made sure they were 100% dead and didnt disappear or anything, and one came back to life. i guess its linked to the area. not seen it elsewhere, and any of the mantids here, mesmer, monk or dervish can res. perhaps they have a spiritual connection with the lands or something?

I've seen this happening to, with with diggers and the mesmer thingy 's. Also when you kill them they do not count as a kill anymore, i think there is a bug with pious renewal making it when an enchant ends they still gain the health while dead or something. This probably will only work on monsters if this is the case seeing how player entities are difrent from monster entities and go through another process while they die i think. No explenation for the mesmers though it might be the case i saw them over. Badbybirth 11:00, 5 September 2007 (CDT)

This makes a lot more sense actually, as they always seem to come back with the same amount of life. Well figured. Notes it?Theonecynic 15:12, 6 September 2007 (CDT)
After thorough testing I have made the following observations:
  • Pious Renewal does not glitch under any situation to form a delayed rez, which was proven after rigerous testing using the same skills as the Mantid Diggers.
  • Frozen Soil has no effect in preventing these random rezzes, and thus it cannot be a spell/skill, monster or otherwise, that is causing them to rez.
  • Spirits like Restoration were not present anywhere near battles with the mantis, nor do the mantis have this skill.
  • The occurances of self-rezing by the mantis are completely random.
Hence, at this point I can only conclude that this is a game glitch. Elite Runner 17:38, 9 September 2007 (CDT)
This has to be the stupidest thing in GW other than the Anvil Rock bloodstone discussion.
Check official wiki, it is supposed to be so: They are big bugs, and after you stomp them, they stand up and wander on. --VipermagiSig.JPG -- (s)talkpage 15:30, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
