How many maps will you put there ?

Or are you going to change it each week ?

TulipVorlax 14:52, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

No idea. I support the second option myself. Or a subpage of (past) locations; I presume he'll cycle. Slowly :P --- Ohaider! -- (contribs) (talk) 14:55, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I thought of a new map each week. But the supbage is another very good suggestion. Kaede 17:57, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Being unfamiliar with wikis, I'm not sure how to set this up. I think it might be a good idea to redirect the term "Traveler" to this page.
Maybe a table with dates and links to locations similar to the treasure logs? Might be nice to have something similar Cyberhythm 09:16, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Drop rate

Anyone compiling info yet? So far I've had 5 mysterious summoning stones, 5 mysterious tonics (x2), 10 aged hunters ales and 3 disco balls (3 min firework display). Cyberhythm 09:16, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Santa?

Think about it...Abbadons X 18:39, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so -MAL wiki sig 05:40, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
I dunno... "Nicholas"... maybe. Maybe not. I'm pretty sure he doesn't restrict the gift-giving to good girls and boys, though. :P Qing Guang 06:35, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Was confirmed by the Live Team during the Sanitarium.fm Ascension Show April 28th. The name is a reference to both Saint Nick and to Nicholas Angel from the movie Hot Fuzz taking place in Sandford.76.0.80.227 08:44, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Note

I think a note should be added stating that he does not share the "5 gifts per reset" limit with his Pre-Searing counterpart. I've wondered this, and been asked this quite a few times by others. Sunsmoonsig talk & cont  07:06, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

I dunno. Same guy, different time periods. Different items collected. Different gifts. I suspect this particular confusion will only last for a short while.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:14, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
But he does only allow you to get 5 gifts per reset --Kirbman sig Kirbman 17:15, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Reset Times

I Have updated the page to say that he moved between 1:30am and 8:30am PST (Pacific Time) if anyone knows the exact time he changes location can you please update this entire section.

Gift Reset Condition

Are you able to get 5 new gifts immediately after he resets to a new location? Or do you need to wait 7 days since your last visit to get new gifts? - Kalendraf 9:09, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

You can get 5 new ones at the new location. So, p'haps the limit should be restated to: 5 gifts until NtT moves to a new location.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:56, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

New location

Location 27-04-09

I just found him - pure luck as I was not searching for him - in Traveler's Vale, near portal to Iron Horse Mine. In that location, he wants 3 Bolts of Linen. --Dreamy Lull 16:47, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Item Difficulty

If you haven't noticed yet, they removed Bolts of Linen from the rare material trader for this week. They have also removed plant fiber from material trader (becuase Artisons can craft linen from it). Now i'm gonna have to farm plant fibers T.T boring. -Rølin
It might just be easier to salvage some linen. --Shadowcrest 00:04, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
The rare material traders ran out of linen; the common material traders sold all their fiber. GW traders only stock their goods when characters sell to them; when there's a run on the market, the traders will run out of supplies. (ANet doesn't manipulate the market; we do.) These links might be helpful:
  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:42, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
That could explain why I originally saw Linen in the traders window but when i logged out and back in a few minutes later they were gone. I thought there was some sort of lag in the server. -Rølin
This is interesting. Collecting crafting materials... maybe ANet is trying to drain cash out of the economy. You know that when the week is over, linen's going to cost a ton until supplies are back up. Qing Guang 00:48, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
Well, on the bright side I can make a killing on crafting Linen at Artisons cuase farming The Falls gives me lots of plant fibers. -Rølin
Good luck with that... I tried to sell some of my linen 20 minutes ago and the traders would only give me 180g for them. T_T --Zyanya386 14:05, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Dialogue

If Nicholas changes where he is and what he says every week... isn't the dialogue section of this page going to get ridiculously long after a few weeks? Maybe that should be moved to a separate page like his past collected items and only the one for the current week could be on the main page. -Zyanya386 09:37, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
I agree with the above. Old dialogue (such as the flower dialogue) should be moved to Nicholas the Traveler/Past Dialogues, which would need to be created. --Slurry. 14:46, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Done. :D --Zyanya386 02:31, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Move time

Wait... so does he move at the midnight that begins Sunday or the midnight that ends it? (read: has he moved yet?) Qing Guang 14:17, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

He moves on Sunday night (California time) going into Monday. (read: he's still there :-) The official site said (at one time) that he would move, after the weekend and their announcements typically have used California time. Currently, the official site says, once the Traveler starts roaming, he can appear anywhere, though he'll stay there for a week; thus, the exact time of his move is not well defined. Last week, he disappeared from his old spot around 01:30 PT (Monday) and the first reported discovery at the new one was around 07:30-08:30.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 15:47, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Someone on Guru claimed he's moved already... will go to confirm. Qing Guang 01:19, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Confirmed, he is gone. Scour the jungles, people! Qing Guang 01:30, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Scratch that, didn't go quite far enough around the corner... he's still there. Qing Guang 01:48, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Still here. I'm zoning like mad to see him leave. Arnout aka The Emperors Angel 07:00, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Still here. Arnout aka The Emperors Angel 07:05, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm staying at his location, only rezoning every 15-20min. I want to know if he'll just disappear, if he stays until zoning, and if he says anything when moving.. maybe even hinting next location. I reply here as soon as I know --Lexxor 07:15, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Gl, I got some other things to do. Arnout aka The Emperors Angel 07:29, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Still there. I'm off to do Z-Quests. Arnout aka The Emperors Angel 09:18, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
If you enter the zone one minute before he leaves, he'll stand there until you zone. 110% sure, since GW is instanced. --- Ohaider! -- (contribs) (talk) 12:23, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Which is no problem though as you see him directly after zoning in from Iron Mines holding down CTRL facing upwards. --Lexxor 12:34, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
"I'm zoning like mad to see him leave." Viper, I knew that. Arnout aka The Emperors Angel 12:53, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Prediction Game

I don't know if the following is appropriate for this page or not, but I think it could be nice to have some fun. The wiki should have some sort of a weekly prediction of Nick's new location and/or collectible, and the first user to successfully call either of the two would win some special prize (a unique userbox or something). Anybody else think this could catch on? Please don't be too brutal if you don't like the idea :/ Myko Ducor 01:26, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

It's seems obvious the next location will be in Kryta though, so there's not a lot of guessing room, until we see him break the pattern (yeah yeah, 2 isn't much of a pattern) by going somewhere unpredictable. And we still don't know if he will be going cross campaign either. I think we should hold out until a few more spawns to start playing these (if ever) because if he DOES follow a pattern, it would make the game pointless and too easy. Mlandry 01:38, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Actually, someone was way ahead of you. --Macros 01:49, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
The prediction idea is good, but wikis are a place for information. If prizes were to be set up,it would be on Guru.

4.25 hours after supposed move, hes still in the vale...100%confirmation

Gaaaaaaaaay -MAL wiki sig 11:38, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Based on when first people found him on Guru, he will probably move in about 2 or 2.5 hours from now. --Lexxor 12:43, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
