Talk: Tree of Judgment

For the record, I think it is one of the most retarded things that ever took place when someone decided that "Judgement" in American English will be spelled Judgment but Encouragement will not be spelled Encouragment. As a native speaker of a language with a very phonetic script (Arabic), I find English spelling (and especially American), to be, quite frankly, sad. :) --Karlos 21:15, 18 Aug 2005 (EST)

I'm pretty sure "judgment" is the British spelling and "judgement" is an accepted American spelling. I don't know how often "judgement" is used over in England. --Fyren 07:21, 19 Aug 2005 (EST)

As an American I've always been taught the spelling judgement.
