Proposal: note when the legacy infobox was added[]

Instead of slapping on a:

{{legacy|{{subst:CURRENTDAY}} {{subst:CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}, {{subst:CURRENTTIME}} (UTC)}}

— Stabber 03:53, 10 March 2006 (CST)

Or 5 tildes to us sane people :p — Skuld 04:15, 10 March 2006 (CST)

I thought of that already. Problem is, it doesn't insert UTC time if you do that, but your own timezone's time. — Stabber 04:18, 10 March 2006 (CST)

Legacy Article Hell[]

We have had a firm position now for nearly a year that we do not maintain how the game was, but how the game is. Do you guys recognize the amount of angst we will all suffer if we go the other route? :( I can just see "W/Mo Kick-Your-Butt" legacy articles filling the wiki. And some of the information we have no solid way of verifying. So, some guy updates the wiki saying that "Franky Figgs" was an NPC in Sardelac Sanitarium that got removed early on in the game. None of us has any recollection of it, but we are not really sure though. We'd have to maintain about as many articles as we have now about things that no longer exist.

Please let us not keep renventing the wheel. No legacy articles, pour favor. --Karlos 04:29, 10 March 2006 (CST)

I agree with your point, but we already have eg. Terror Shield that doesn't describe the present state of the game. If we remove this category, then I think we should remove Terror Shield also (and protect that page so no one adds it back). — Stabber 04:33, 10 March 2006 (CST)
I don't mind losing the 3 unlocked chests that ANet nerfed, but items such as Jade Gorget, Phantasmal Armor, etc, could still be found in unlocked chests in UW, FoW, and HoH. Since all the unlocked chests use the Item Pool, then it is still possible that these items can still be found. --Gares Redstorm 04:51, 10 March 2006 (CST)
Yeah, I don't know why someone marked the Jade Gorget for deletion. It is still around in the game. As for the Terror shield article, I never knew we had one. :) And if the item is not deleted, we should keep it's article. Just like the HoD sword and the 20/20 Rockmolder. They are still in the game even if no new ones are dropping. --Karlos 15:59, 10 March 2006 (CST)
It was me who marked the item aticle for deletion. I wasn't aware that it could drop, as the article stated that it only drops from the chests which were removed. My appologies. --Gem 16:42, 10 March 2006 (CST)

No new discussion in 4 days, unless there are complaints this is getting the axe tomorrow. --Rainith 10:53, 13 March 2006 (CST)
