Undead Illusionists are a capable type of mesmer, able to inflict high degeneration on foes. They only appear during the Vanguard quests in Pre-searing Ascalon.

- Undead Illusionists are a form of undead mesmer which rely solely upon their degeneration hex for damage dealing. Alone they are not much of a threat but can quickly become a danger when assisted by others. Melee attackers are debilitated greatly by their ability to slow down movement, as well as hindering any attempt at escape.
- Like all Undead, they take double damage whenever hit by Holy damage.
