Equipment[edit | edit source]

Monk

  • Armor with maximum energy, and the needed runes applied.
  • Use a weapon with +5 energy and +20% longer enchants, like Totem Axe. And the -50 hp offhand. Hold a wand on switch, one that matches your attributes, so you will be able to take out the Dying Nightmare youself.

Ranger

  • Any equipment will do, the ranger could even come along naked. (A armor would be nice if you aggro by accident.)

Usage[edit | edit source]

  • You will have to control yourself, and the Hero. Thats why the monk has the Visages, to put the ranger out of danger.
  • And you will have to control your hero's movement. Cast all the enchants on yourself. And let the hero put up Famine in a safe place.
  • Now you, the monk, has to cast Protective Spirit, Healing Breeze, Ancestor's Visage or Sympathetic Visage and Spell Breaker. Aggro, if a Dying Nightmare pops up, kill him with your wand.
  • Maintain enchants, renew Visage when the other one runs out., and the monsters will slowly die. After you gain some experience, you will know the best places to put up your Famine.
  • If you die use Rebirth to move your body away from the monsters, and then use Resurrection Chant to resurrect yourself.

Useful Hints[edit | edit source]

  • Disable the hero's Famine, Apply Poison, Mending and Balthazar's Spirit and put him on Avoid Combat. Otherwise he will keep losing enchantments. And he will attack, and maybe aggro any monsters.
  • You will need to use the enchants manually, select yourself (F) and let him cast Mending and Balthazar's Spirit, if they are not dissabled, he will continue to remove them.
  • You will also need to put him in place, and manually cast Famine, only walking and casting Famine has to be done multiple times.
  • Apply Poison should only be used if there are 3 or less Aatxes, Smiters and Grasps are immume to poison. Better is to only let him attack (With Apply Poison) (Switch Avoid Combat to Defensive) if you have 1 Bladed Aatxe aggro'ed.

Counters[edit | edit source]

  • Monsters that aggro to the ranger. (She can stay alive pretty long with her stances.)
  • The Coldfire's, they are pretty hard to kill, if you aggro them, stand near smiters, and the Coldfires will die.

  • Also see this variant [Build:Team_-_55/Famine_Redux|55/Famine], where the enchants are divided differently.

Advantages[edit | edit source]

  • The ranger is far away, the ranger will not aggro anything, (unless on mistake).
  • No conflicts about Ecto's.
  • You can't be blamed.
  • You don't have to wait for the other player.
