Quest List[edit source]

I see that you have copied the entire Prophecies quest list to your user page. This can be easily replaced with just a link to avoid redundancy, which is one of the core ideas of the whole wiki concept.

[[Quests_%28Prophecies%29#Post-Searing_Ascalon|Prophecies Quest List]]

This is just a suggestion. It's your user page and you are perfectly free to do what you like. — Fenris FenrisPaw.jpg 16:49, 6 June 2006 (CDT)

I'm pretty sure the quest list serves as a check list and that quests are being removed as they're completed. That makes it necessary to actually have a separate copy. --adeyke 16:55, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
Yea, Adeyke is correct, and as you said thats exactly why I didn't have it on the main namespace. I had it on the talk page before to keep it even further away but people suggested that i move it to the user namespace under a sub heading. I wanted to play through most of the game before jumping into editing. -- Prod 17:29, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
I suspected that was the reason for the list. Just one more quick tip then; if you use <strike>text to be striked</strike> on a quest you'll have a list of both completed and uncompleted quests. — Fenris FenrisPaw.jpg 17:49, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
Or if you're lazy, you can use <s>and</s> to get the same effect. Look at the potential increase in efficiency! --Xasxas256 17:59, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
Heh, I just recently realized that striking out stuff would be better, just didn't know the wikimarkup for it. Thanks. -- Prod 18:26, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
Just be careful when striking out entries that they are, in fact, on your user namespace. I noticed that several of the quests are not directly listed on your userpage. Instead, a template/module that contains the list of tasks was used. If you click edit next to these section and make changes, you would in fact be making changes to the source template that is used in the main articles.
For example, if you click the 'edit' link next to "Sardelac Sanitarium" on your user page, you are now on a page titled "Editing Sardelac Sanitarium/Quests (section)". If you made changes, it would affect the master quest list which also links through that template.
There are some cleaner checklists that you could copy to your name space, that you could then edit without risking accidentally editing the source document. One that you could copy is Prophecies Campaign Checklist. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 18:09, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
Beautiful, thanks. -- Prod 18:40, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
I have been very active on Wikipedia, so I do have some experience. Thanks for the warning though. Just to note, whatever is on my main user page currently, was not placed there by me. Actually I'm going to blank that right now. What I'm using is on User:Prod/WMo and User:Prod/NR -- Prod 18:26, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
Hmm, I was looking at who that was that put that on my main page, and it turns out it was my younger bro.....He didn't realize he was actually editing the real pages. Sorry about that. -- Prod 18:29, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
I had spotted to IP and when I looked at the logs, I had seen someone else had put a similar message on the IP's talk page, which is why I mentioned it here. It doesn't look like any harm was done, so no problems!
Oh, and before I forget again ... welcome to GuildWiki! --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 18:36, 6 June 2006 (CDT)
Heh, thanks :). -- Prod 18:37, 6 June 2006 (CDT)

Fester Fang[edit source]

On Talk:Fester Fang you indicated that you would like confirmation that Fester Fang spawned in Pockmark Flats. After about an hour of trying what looked like the most likely spawn point, I can confirm that he does spawn there. I have updated his page and Pockmark Flats', and also confirmed his skills and removed him from the raw dump. --Dtremenak 02:43, 18 June 2006 (CDT)
