Welcome to the wiki! Great work on the factions weapons. :) --Karlos 09:40, 6 April 2006 (CDT)

AA for the weapon pics[]

Are the screenshots from your own client? If so, can you turn up Anti-Aliasing to 2x or higher when taking the shots, so the jaggies from eg. Image:Candy Cane Sword.jpg aren't as visible? Thanks for all your work on the weapons, by the way. — Stabber (talk) 17:10, 10 April 2006 (CDT)

I thought I read that when GW takes a SS it automatically sets the graphics to the highest quality. --Rainith 17:27, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
I thought that too at first, but if you compare the two images in Image:FireStaffNew.jpg, you'll see that the in-game AA setting has a considerable effect on the resulting SS. — Stabber (talk) 17:30, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
I agree, it does look pretty ugly on some weapons. I will redo them eventually (they're not AA for reasons I already explained to Stabber), but for now I'll just upload the existing ones. --Scutilla 18:32, 10 April 2006 (EST)
The non-AA pics are better than no pics. :) --Rainith 17:36, 10 April 2006 (CDT)

I don't think I'm comfortable with you taking images already here and then slapping on a "courtesy of Tyrian Explorer's League" on them. Why are you adding credits again? — Stabber (talk) 19:26, 10 April 2006 (CDT)

The pictures are from a gallery created and hosted by my guild, and one that I've been thinking about getting hosted on one or more fansites. Since the pictures are part of a gallery instead of just random images, and the Dos and Don'ts says we are allowed to give credit for items from other sources in the summaries, I thought it would be good to give credit. If you don't want it, I can remove the line.

I overwrote the existing images because the new ones are of significantly better quality (more zoomed in, consistant picture formatting), and because the template I've been using for the weapon pages uses the page name (breaking the links and making it difficult to move them back to the necessary spot). Again, if you don't like the changes, state your reasons and I will bring back the old images. Scutilla 20:37 10 April 2006 (EST)

I am complaining about my Sickle image, which was categorically not from the TEL. Either be more careful in giving credit, or just remove my image and wait until the TEL supplies their own sickle image. — Stabber (talk) 19:44, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
Yikes, sorry about that- because of the template I merged the pictures of different appearances for a single weapon together, but I didn't think about that part. I can change the comment to reflect that- unfortunately I don't know if there's any way to merge the histories from two merged images... What way of fixing it do you think would be the best?Scutilla 20:45 10 April 2006 (EST)
Best to remove my image, I think. The huge black area is very unsightly. I 'll try to dig up the screenshot it was from and make an equal width slice. — Stabber (talk) 19:51, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
Is this wikiporn? =) I don't have anything against seeing a necromancer butt in an image or two, but it seems like the entire Axe category has suddenly suffered a terrible shortage of pants. --130.58 22:43, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
