Hi, welcome to the wiki! Please use the show preview button when editing, that way you won't have to keep editing the same page multiple times for small changes. Thanks, and happy editing :) --Shadowcrest 02:29, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, sorry, I know that, I just kept seeing mistakes after editing the pages. :S Venelix 02:35, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Whoa! It was me who said welcome! /gasp

Anyways, good job dealing with that vandal with me. Just as a side note, how could one figure out what user that is? I don't care about him, but it's always good to know how, just in case. --Shadowcrest 23:01, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

I don't think you can see IP adresses used by users... probably only admins can. And that would be useless if the guy was using a proxy. PS: Is there some way to sign comments other than the tildes? I must copy them from google every time (haven't got them on italian keyboard :|) Venelix 23:05, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Meh. Oh well. And yeah, you can if you have the toolbar (I think its called the toolbar) enabled. Its a bar of buttons above where you're editing, click the second button from the right. --Shadowcrest 23:08, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Oh. Thanks! --Venelix 23:09, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Good work uploading those weapon images, you've gotten quite a few. And, unlike most people, you went no-armor with uniform, light background and focused on the weapon itself. Always appreciated ;) --Gimmethegepgun 20:29, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! And yep, those are the guidelines I try to follow. Now back to BMP farming. ^^ --Venelix 20:37, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Not enough people try to follow it though, that's the problem. Weapon pictures are completely overloaded with people that are showing off armor rather than the weapon --Gimmethegepgun 21:37, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I see... Not that my armor isn't nice ^^. Just doesn't belong there. --Venelix 21:50, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Why are you replacing weapon images with images that have a background that's not as contrasting to the weapon?-- Marcopolo47 signature new.jpg (Talk) (Contr.) 18:25, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Because their quality was bad / there was no antialiasing. --Venelix 18:30, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Well can you take your pictures in somewhere where there is more contrast in the background, at least? Like Isle of the Nameless, which is where most weapon pictures are taken.-- Marcopolo47 signature new.jpg (Talk) (Contr.) 18:33, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes. You are doing a very good job, but the place you take them has a heavy yellow atmosphere. Just map travel to the Great Temple of Balthazar on the PvP isles, walk right out and run all the way North, to the beach. The water and the sand both make a great background, though I prefer water if possible. Compare the picture I uploaded for the
Charr Staff.jpg
with the previous version and see how light affects the colors. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG.jpg 09:43, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Hey, try using this spot to take your images. You can get very nice, neutral lighting here. Also, you can manage to zoom in to make the pictures larger by rotating the camera - try rotating my moving the mouse up and into the screen. Eventually, it will hit a point where the camera is viewing fowards, flat against the ground but it will then start zooming in - into the sky if you are on a slope which allows it to be placed somewhere where it would normally be below the ground. You can use this to zoom in more than the mouse scroll allows you to. Jennalee 03:37, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the spot. I already know the mouse wheel trick, but I'm playing on a laptop so the resolution is quite low and some weapons are very small. --Venelix 03:44, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Venelix, can you please tell me what exactly do you do to make your screenshots in best quality? --Lefy Piyero 12:36, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Take the screen, crop it and save it with JPEG quality 10/12 (with Photoshop CS3). Nothing special, really. --Venelix 13:05, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Yout sig

If your current sig has a large V and a large X, I believe its too big. I can't test (b/c I can't get a SC of the page), but it appears to disrupt the spacing between lines. If someone proves its fine, fine, but I believe thats too big. --Shadowcrest 01:10, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Is this ok? --VeneliX 01:11, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
That's definitely ok. However I might have been mistaken in the first place, desperately trying to find where I saw your sig :/ --Shadowcrest 01:16, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
