This is my talk page.

Feel free to leave messages/questions/comments/threats/praise/etc on it (goddess knows everyone else does).

However you should note that this page will never be cleared. It will instead be filled with nonsensical rambling about everyday topics (interspaced with your messages and wiki related content) in a brazen attempt to eventally crash the wiki and then achieve world domination. Hopefully before PanSola gets around to it. Every contribution you make helps me achieve this goal. I thank you for helping me in this task and look forward to your eventual submission when I conquer the world. Muhaha!

Incidently, in case you haven't noticed, it seems I've gone quite insane, please take this with a liberal amount of salt. (besides I'm not sure if I want to take over the world...seems like a lot of work frankly and there are some places that need some serious renovation...see what happens when you take Sunday off...tsk tsk)

Relativly New Stuff[]

Going to be AFK from the computer until my broadband gets fixed (damn Telstra). I'll be on sporadically (nominating unused files for deletion and all) but editing on dial-up is killing me. --William Blackstaff 02:21, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

Yay broadband got fixed! back to full speed, Unused images beware my wrath! --William Blackstaff 19:15, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey, did you look at the talk page before you deleted it? --Rainith 15:40, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

Oops, that's what I get for checking Guildwiki before I have coffee. I've restore the image (reuploaded it from Image Cache), removed the delete tag, from Image:RiversideProvince.jpg. However, I haven't swapped the images over as Riverside Province (mission) will have to be re-written to make sense with Image:RiversideProvince.jpg.

Congrats on the Admin. Now you can delete the images yourself (after they have been marked for deletion for an acceptable amount of time of course). =) --Rainith 14:17, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

He was admin'd before, I think the data we lost included it, heh. --Fyren 16:30, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
I thought we lost the data because he was made an admin. :P Yeah, I saw that before, but I don't know that I ever got around to posting my congrats, as the site started acting wonky shortly thereafter. --Rainith 16:48, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
Hey, who're you calling wonky?! I'm perfectly (error hidden -- daiiiisy, daaaiiiisyyyyNunix// --Nunix 16:53, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
Yahh I have the power...cough COUGH HACK!!! sorry, :) On a side note Rainith; I don't think I'm supposed to delete articles I've flagged for deletion...(something about that at the wikipedia.) In any case I might as well ask, how long is an acceptable amount of time? And yes the corruption was my fault, (read the intro), a slight miscalculation on my part. =D --William Blackstaff 03:08, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
This isn't Wikipedia. Delete stuff that very obviously needs to be deleted. Otherwise, flag it and wait. --Fyren 06:59, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

The One About Empty Articles (a.k.a Beware the Wrath of Fyren)[]

Don't create empty articles. Making the link blue and removing it from the wanted pages will make it less likely that someone will work on it. --Fyren 18:40, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

Fair enough.--William Blackstaff 00:22, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

The One about the Clearing of Pages[]

Why?? That could be taken as quite offensive :/ — Skuld 11:41, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

Because the only things on this page were suggestions/comments/requests by contributors in regards to tasks I was currently working on. Since all of those tasks are now complete, there was IMHO no real reason to keep them. It certainly wasn't meant to offend anyone and frankly I don't see how it could have considering none of the conversations were active. --William Blackstaff 16:37, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
But you could've archived them instead d-: While the people making the posts would know it's no longer relavent, new ppl checking your talk page will get a bad impression of "Oh, he just wipes out what other ppl's comments to him" d-: -PanSola 21:18, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
Don't know how to archive. --William Blackstaff 00:22, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Reverted the page information before the clearing. Everything is back now. Hurrah!--William Blackstaff 10:01, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

Here's how to create an archive (watch closely, nothing up my sleeves):

  1. Click the edit tab at the top of this page.
  2. Enter this on the first line: For old conversations check the [[User talk:William Blackstaff/archive|archive]]
  3. Go down to your Old Stuff section, highlight everything there and press ctrl+x to cut it out (note: this will work on all web browsers I've tried, but I haven't tried them all...)
  4. Click on the Save page button.
  5. Now click on the red archive link.
  6. When the blank page comes up do a paste (ctrl+p) and then save your archive page.

Assuming I am awake enough to make sense, that should work to create an archive for you. If not, leave a note here about what doesn't work or what doesn't make sense and I'll try to elaborate. :) --Rainith 14:17, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

No not that complicated, thanks--William Blackstaff 03:08, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

Image titles[]

Re: Deletion of "Offering of Blood.png". Please check the task list. Apart from the fact that this (and not OfferingofBlood) is the correct spelling, it needs to be spelled that way to display the correct screen name. --Xeeron 12:50, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

oops, fair enough, but the main reason it was deleted was that the image was broken anyway. --William Blackstaff 18:54, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Archived Stuff[]

Haven't seen you on the GuildWiki for ages but it seems like you're back on (for today at least :P ). I just read your user page then, another Aussie GuildWiki member w00t! --Xasxas256 17:55, 25 May 2006 (CDT)

I've been absent for a while, but that due to the fact that I don't play Guild Wars anymore (damn [[1]] is time consuming and I've been hanging around at OblivoWiki), and as such, you'll rarely see me getting involved with a lot of things. in addition I got an email from someone whose having a problem with their login so I've just come on to pass on the information to Gravewit or someone who can help them. Also found some time to do some deletions and rant about pointless one line articles.--William Blackstaff 18:04, 25 May 2006 (CDT)
Heya you're back again, at least for the next 5 minutes! I told everyone you're an Aussie, hope you don't mind. --Xasxas256 09:27, 14 September 2006 (CDT)
I don't mind, because it's true, and i know i haven't been on GuildWiki for ages, but i rarely play it anymore and what free time I have to do any wiki-ing is spent over at OblivioWiki. if you'll excuse me, i'm going to go delete something :) William Blackstaff 09:30, 14 September 2006 (CDT)
Well it's darn late so I'm going to bed! Have fun deleting, hopefully there's some GuildWiki left when I get up tomorrow :P --Xasxas256 09:41, 14 September 2006 (CDT)
