Vials of Ink, often simply refered to as ink, are a rare crafting material.

Acquisition

• Some collectable drops, such as Stolen Supplies, will Expert Salvage into Vials of Ink.
• Artisans will craft one Vial of Ink for 4 Plant Fiber, 1 Tempered Glass Vial and 20 gold.
• Can be bought at Rare Material Traders.

Usage

• Vials of Ink are used in some Ritualist armor.
• Vials of Ink are used in most Necromancer and Monk headgear.
• Vials of Ink are used in crafting Monk Luxon Armor and Monk Ascended Luxon Armor.
• Vials of Ink are used in crafting Necromancer Primeval Armor
• Vials of Ink are used in crafting Monk Elite Sunspear Armor and Necromancer Elite Sunspear Armor

Notes

• One scam is when people try to make you think it is a rare dye, which it clearly isn't. When trading dyes always scroll your mouse over the item and ensure it is the correct dye you want.
• Before the release of Nightfall, Vials of Ink became increasingly expensive in Factions and Prophecies, to the point that savvy players could make very good profit by crafting the rare material from Glittering Dust and Plant Fibers and reselling it to the Rare Materials Trader. Post-Nightfall, the price of Vials of Ink dropped low enough that players could no longer make a profit, and the tactic was abandoned.
